Nikki shows Ti how to make a martini. A real martini, which is STIRRED, NOT SHAKEN! Plus, she'll cover all the equipment you'll need to build a proper home bar. Subscribe: http://goo.gl/Z7lbS
Over on Movie Buzz, Ti and friends are watching "The Room" which is Tommy Wiseau's attempt at making a real movie and failing miserably. On that theme, Nikki is showing us all now to not fail miserably at making a real cocktail. You're all welcome.
So, quoting James Bond and ordering "Very Dry" vodka marinis may make you feel sophisticated, but really, what's sophisticated about doing an oversized shot of vodka with an olive? No, no, no. Use Gin. Stir, don't shake. Vermouth is important. It's back to basics here on How to Drink.
Here are the basics you'll need for you home bar:
- Graduated Jigger
- Pint Glass
- 2- Part Tin Shaker
- Julep and Hawthorne Strainers
- Veggie Peelers
- Weighted and Bonzer Spoon
- Muddler
And here's what you'll need for a proper Martini:
Few Dashes of Orange Bitters
1 oz Dry Vermouth
2 oz Gin
