A family in Brooklyn was recently reunited with an 11-year-old boy who went missing for five long days. While his panicked relatives were searching for him, the child, Kareem Granton was riding the rails.

For the majority of time he was away from home, Granton rode the subway in Manhattan. Every night, he was on the train. As far as nourishment went, Granton made stops at Chuck E. Cheese for his meals.

His family, who had no idea where he was or what he was up to, began posting pictures and pleading for his safe return. Those efforts actually paid off because a woman on the train recognized Granton.

An officer on the subway platform was quickly alerted. The cop hopped onboard and sure enough, there was Granton in a seat. The officer’s canine cuddled up to Granton and helped lure him off the train.

Granton’s mother was notified that he was found safe. According to the relieved mom, Granton left their home without permission to go to a neighbor’s apartment to play video games.

Granton claimed he had a little ‘tantrum’ after the game session and set off on a solo journey. Now, he says he’s happy to be back home.
