Bank robbers are often easily distinguishable by either their disguises or physical characteristics. The FBI is currently investigating a string of robberies in the Denver, Colorado area.

It’s believed one crook is responsible for all three crimes. What’s earned him the moniker the 02 Bandit are the medical mask and white tubes he wears during the robberies. Authorities believe those tubes lead to an oxygen tank.

So far, he has been able to hit three of the city’s banks during the month of December - the Partner Credit Union, Chase Bank and the Westerra Credit Union.

He used the same routine each time, by handing the teller a note that demanded cash. It was not released how much money he was successfully able to make off with.

Police described the robber as a black male, somewhere between the ages of 50 and 60. It remains unknown whether or not the suspect relies on supplemental oxygen in his day to day life or if it is solely part of his disguise.

A $2,000 reward has but put up for information that leads to the arrest of the crook.
