Addiction is a disease, which all too often can destroy lives. One man in the UK has been battling for years to beat his gasoline addiction.

Brian Taylor was recently arrested and appeared in court on New Year’s Eve for drinking from fuel pumps. Sadly, this wasn’t the first time it happened.

His story first made reports back in 2005 when the then 36-year-old was banned from every single gas station in his hometown because he would consistently arrive at fuel businesses, slash pipes and drink gas straight from the pump.

Surveillance footage captured the acts on numerous occasions, showing him guzzling the fuel to get high before dancing on the property. Staff at the stations tried to confront him, but Taylor always became aggressive.

Eventually, after costing one establishment thousands of dollars, he landed in court and was prohibited from going to all local gas stations. Well about 9 years later, the dependency proved to still be a problem.

On December 30th of this year, he was spotted at two local stations trying to access the fuel pumps. Taylor was arrested for breaching the order banning him from the gas stations. He received a ‘16-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months’.
