The cartridges on e-cigarettes, the part which users inhale from, are puncturing tires. Contributing to that issue is the fact that many people toss the used and empty cartridges out the window while driving, similar to smokers discarding their butts.
Regardless of the debate concerning the long term effects of vaping, or puffing on an e-cigarette, their popularity is steadfastly climbing.
There is no argument however, that the cartridges on the devices, the part which users inhale from, are puncturing tires.

The manager of a tire shop in Bay City, Michigan stated “We have seen usually one or two a week puncturing the tire. They're all made out of metal, so when they slash a tire, they usually leave a pretty big gash in it.”
Making it even worse, the victim’s of the cartridge tossers are usually forced to purchase new tires, as the gashes resulting from the metal pieces are usually so huge and detrimental, the tires cannot be patched.
While no one is sure if the cartridge tossing corresponds to old habits of pitching cigarette filters out windows or if utter laziness is the culprit, but its recommended to save the cartridge until a trash can is within reach.
