According to the results of a new survey from datingadvice.com, about 25% of men have faked having an orgasm during sexual intercourse.

According to the results of a new survey from datingadvice.com, about one out of every four men have faked having an orgasm during sexual intercourse.

The survey asked over a thousand men in the United States if they had ever pretended to have an orgasm while they were being intimate and if so, why.

22 percent of the survey subjects admitted to having faked an orgasm during sex.

Divorced men are reportedly 67 percent more likely to pretend to have an orgasm compared to single men.

According to psychologist Doctor Seth Meyers: “The main reason men fake it is to avoid having to talk about any potential sex issue. The fear is that not having an orgasm, and telling the truth about it, could generate anxiety in their partner and invite endless discussion.”

Other research into sexual health issues shows that one in three men has pretended to have an orgasm.

There are many reasons why guys might have to fake an orgasm, including health problems, or the desensitizing effect of condom use.

What do you think about the results of the survey? Do that many guys really fake having an orgasm during sex?
