Worker Critically Injured After Protecting David Hasselhoff Poster

A Cumberland Farms clerk in Shelton, Connecticut was left seriously injured after thieves tried to swipe life-sized posters of Hasselhoff. The worker bravely ran outside and tried to stop the suspects from stealing the posters.
Clearly, David Hasselhoff, star of the 90s show Baywatch is still idolized by many people today.
Recently, a Cumberland Farms clerk in Shelton, Connecticut was left seriously injured after thieves tried to swipe life-sized posters of Hasselhoff. The worker bravely ran outside and tried to stop the suspects from stealing the posters.
The chain store has an advertising partnership with Hasselhoff to promote coffee. Cumberland Farms calls the caffeinated beverage iced Hoffee and life sized cutouts of Hasselhoff hang in many stores.
The 36-year-old clerk noticed a dark colored SUV pull up to the shop. The vehicle’s occupants, two men and a woman, got out and began cutting down the advertisements from a light pole and loaded up the SUV with the posters.
By the time the employee was able to run outside, the car was moving. The worker was struck by the vehicle and dragged. He is now listed in critical condition.
The police have launched an investigation into the traumatic incident. Word about the theft quickly spread.
Hasselhoff stated “I am shocked & truly saddened about the Cumberland farms store clerk tragedy. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with him and his family!”
