Perhaps one of the most famous landmarks in London, the capital of Britain, known by everyone, which many people want to see is Big Ben clock, the largest hour in the world and known for its accuracy in measuring time.
Founded by British Minister of Works Benjamin Hall, who was nicknamed “Big Ben” for the enormity of his body. The designer of the watch was Edmund Beckett ,and made it (Edward Net) .
It was established in 1859, and recently Britain changed its name to the Elizabeth Tower on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth.
Big Ben: A huge 320-foot tower with a clock of about 12.5 tons and a 10-ton bell. Its clockwise length is 14.9 feet. Its timing is a symbol of world time.
The Big Ben clock is located in the St Stephen’s Tower in London, British capital, and is 150 years old. Despite its old establishment, it still works perfectly.
It is possible to happen a failure in the clock due to the old of the pieces in it and the insistence of officials to preserve it because of its heritage and historical significance, these old pieces can be replaced with modern pieces and operates at the same old mechanism. It happened earlier when the clock stopped working completely, but maintenance workers repaired it, and it took about a week to repair it.

The maintenance workers are always ready for their constant concern for the work of the clock and repair any malfunction that may occur, because it is a symbol of the timing of the world, where the inhabitants used to know the time on their way and also the British Broadcasting Corporation depends on its time .

Big Ben is one of the most important attractions that attract tourists to this city, which is visited by large numbers of tourists from all over the world.
