00:18 Business cuts across all industries.
00:20 There is no industry that doesn't need business graduates, right?
00:24 For example, if you do a business in pharmaceutical,
00:27 in business in F&B, you will need an accountant,
00:30 you will need a marketeer and so on.
00:32 So all these are different business related disciplines.
00:35 And that's why business schools will always stay relevant regardless of time,
00:40 regardless of economic phases, whether you're in a boom or in a recession,
00:45 there is always a place for business professionals
00:49 and therefore the relevance of business education.

00:59 Tatsui Jeffrey Chair had the dream of making the abandoned tin mine
01:04 here into a sustainable city.
01:06 His second dream was to have Sunway University be the Harvard of the East.
01:10 And a big part of that, of course, has to be very strong research.
01:14 So yes, indeed, we now have 26 people that are top 2% in the Stanford list.
01:21 You know, always difficult to compare,
01:24 but when you look at the other private universities in Malaysia,
01:27 they will have 5, 6, 7, 8.
01:29 And two years ago we had 6.
01:32 Now we have 26 and in fact I've already recruited another 4.
01:36 30 next year will be 40, next year will be 50.

01:51 The AACSB accreditation is accreditation provided by a US professional body for business schools
01:58 and what that really means is that business schools that wish to be AACSB accredited
02:03 will need to comply to a set of standards.
02:06 And these standards evolve over time.
02:08 And what these standards are all about, you know, quality education,
02:12 how do you go about crafting your program,
02:15 what is the mission of your school,
02:17 how does this program fit into your mission.

02:28 Not many people would want to subject themselves to additional audits or scrutiny,
02:32 but this is what we do,
02:34 because we believe in delivering the best business education possible out there.
02:40 And what's important to note here with AACSB is that it is a hallmark of good business schools,
02:46 the best business schools in the world,
02:48 because only 5% of business schools in the world have this distinction.

02:58 The business students can expect the state-of-the-art classrooms
03:02 than a real building for the business school.
03:04 An example of that is a full-fledged training facility
03:07 that we will have as a centrepiece at the ground floor of our business school.
03:12 So in there we will have training facilities,
03:15 we will be speaking to a couple of providers, for example Bloomberg and AK,
03:20 and to bring those facilities to our students, to our campus,
03:25 so that our students will have opportunity to use these facilities in the classroom,
03:28 so that when they go out there to the real world,
03:30 they are able to integrate seamlessly to the industry,
03:34 especially in relation to finance.

03:46 We now have a DNA, and that DNA is three things,
03:50 sustainability, analytics and technology.
03:53 So in terms of sustainability, that's important. Why?
03:56 Because the world has so much problems, and we cannot add more problems to the world.
04:01 But besides that, in order to make sustainability work,
04:03 we introduce the element of analytics and technology,
04:06 which brings to a trifecta of DNA for some of our business schools.
04:10 So analytics, that's important because we need to actually make data-informed decisions,
04:14 and technology is something that we cannot run away from.
04:17 As you can see, technology comes overnight and disrupts everything.
04:22 One example of that is AI, in particular, generative AI, like Chair GPP.
04:27 Overnight, it has flipped the entire education industry,
04:31 as well as other industries out there,
04:33 especially those that rely on copywriting, creativity, or even coding,
04:38 because generative AI can even come up with codes for programs
04:41 that allows you to build apps within minutes, not even hours.
04:45 So what we do here is to empower our graduates with the kind of skills,
04:49 when they go out into the industry, they are able to actually make a difference.
04:52 In the near future, we will have a very big school.
05:01 Right now, 3,800 students in the business school, and growing.
05:06 Number two, we will have a fantastic facility right across the street.
05:10 It will be one of the most beautiful university buildings that you can find,
05:15 right at the border of the lake.
05:17 And we will have the best research in the world.
05:21 So yes, this will be as good as Harvard Business School.
