06:08 to damage the agency's image after its ICT unit successfully regained control of the system.
06:15 SOCSO said it activated its crisis management plan on the day of the attack and that its services,
06:21 including payments of benefits, compensation and disability pension, have not been disrupted and
06:27 are still being carried out. As for the sample data containing its members' personal information
06:32 that was allegedly posted on a forum thread by the hackers, the agency said the data was
06:38 questionable, incomplete and outdated. According to SOCSO, this is not the first time it has come
06:44 under a cyber attack and that it has faced a series of similar attacks, with the last
06:49 attempt having taken place in September where it was successfully contained.
