00:27humor just crossover to a point but is
00:29aimed directly at the fanbase this film
00:32is not meant for newbies casual
00:34moviegoers and new files will be lost in
00:36the Parkman weeds I highly recommend
00:39reading apartment primer before going in
00:42for justice Smith stars as Tim Goodman
00:45as young insurance worker who formally
00:48trained Hawkman as a boy raised by his
00:51grandmother Tim is alerted when his
00:54estranged father a police detective
00:56mysteriously vanishes he leaves a small
01:00town and travels to the fantastic Rhine
01:02city a bustling metropolis where humans
01:05and pokémon lived together in harmony
01:07the adventure begins when Tim Wizards
01:10his father's apartment he finds
01:12detective Pikachu scurrying about
01:14looking for clues
01:16Tim's even more surprised to discover he
01:18can understand what the pokeman is
01:20saying as opposed to the usual gurgling
01:22pika pika detective Pikachu has lost his
01:26memory but he knows that Tim's father is
01:28vital to him recovering it the pair
01:32teams up with an interpreter new in tone
01:34someone has dastardly plans for the pot
01:37man Tim's father was hot on their trail
01:39before he disappeared
01:42Ryan Reynolds delivery gets a few
01:45chuckles as Detective Pikachu the
01:47precious yellow fur ball keeps the Crips
01:50flowing like a river it's not all family
01:53friendly but nowhere near his agita cool
01:56persona director Rob Latterman keeps his
01:59pokeman characters front and center the
02:02CGI critters are the stars with a human
02:05caster reacting just as Smith does a
02:07good job with the pratfalls bumbling and
02:10physical nature of his rule
02:12his interaction with CGI characters is
02:14seamless and natural he definitely
02:17learned from his time on Jurassic world
02:20fallen Kingdom the plot is exceedingly
02:23simple there is an attempt for a few
02:25twists but nothing that forces abstract
02:27thought the film wants to immense you in
02:30Parkman world it succeeds with
02:33big-budget
02:33special effects they are key to selling
02:36the premise the action scenes are huge
02:39much bigger than expected
02:41there is a nice dichotomy between the
02:44pot man portrayed in daily life and the
02:46massive climax director Rob Letterman
02:49has skills in creating amends and
02:51settings
02:52Parkman fans will certainly feel for
02:54molarity with a rhyme city and its
02:56characters the taxi Prakash who delivers
02:59exactly what's expected to a massive
03:02target audience
03:03that's an admirer bill achievement the
03:05film is critic proof
03:07Parkman fans for everything I have
03:09observed are a devoted bunch they would
03:12have flocked to see a terrible film they
03:14won't be disappointed here this actor
03:16Picacho is chock full of everything fans
03:18want to see in a live-action adaption it
03:21will mystify everyone else but once
03:24again the filmmakers aren deviating from
03:26a winning formula there is about to be
03:29run on the detective mccartey American
03:31dies the film is produced by legendary
03:34picture and distributed by Warner Bros
