The People Mobile

I did this animation in one week for a class at CalArts called the History of Video Art taught by Chris Hill. For an assignment I was allowed to do this project and animate to an interview with Vito Acconci taken from Public Access. To my knowledge this is one of the only records of this project. Basically the People Mobile project was a sort of social experiment. Acconci, placed this pumpkin masked vehicle in town squares all over Europe and his voice would come over the loud speaker for 3 days to different groups of people. I was only able to capture the first set of 3 days in this animation but my goal was to visually interpret a project that is next to forgotten by most.
