Rescued Dog Spent Six Days in Car

A rescued dog spent six days in a car.

A small dog was rescued from a car in a West Seattle parking lot, where he’d been for up to six days without food or water.

Area security guards noticed the pug-beagle mix, whose name is Zipper, and called 911.

Police were unable to locate the owner as the car had been recently sold and gave Zipper to the local animal shelter. The security guards who found the pup gave him food and water before he left.

The man responsible for the dog’s care was eventually located but not charged. He is the boyfriend of the owner and was supposed to be watching Zipper while she was away.

In another remarkable rescue story, a 5-month-old pit-bull, Peanut, was given a second shot at life after she was scheduled for death. Her new owner, Josh Cummings, came across a picture of what he called a “ sad faced pit mix with mange”. He decided to intervene and brought her home. That once sad face has now been replaced by the happy, content look of a puppy with great owners.
