IX Fortas (Love Somebody)

The Ninth Fort in Kaunas (Kauno IX Forto muziejus), Lithuania was originally built as a part of defensive fortress in the years 1901-1913. In 1924, it was rearranged into a hard labour prison. During the first Soviet occupation, it served as a part of the NKVD prisons chain in Lithuania. During the Nazi occupation, over 50,000 people were executed there, including over 30,000 Jews and over 10,000 foreigners.
