Um combate realizado entre praticantes, sem qualquer meio pré arranjado é conhecido como luta livre. Assim, durante o combate, ambos os participantes são completamente livres para atacar e defender com todos os meios e métodos disponíveis com apenas uma condição:
Que o atacante deve pontuar, golpeando o ponto vital, sem atingir fatalmente o adversário.
Isso ocorre porque o Taekwon-Do é uma forma letal de auto-defesa. Portanto, a regra de disputa do Taekwon-Do, ao contrário dos outros esportes, conta somente com golpes focados ao ponto vital, em vez de grande número de golpes ineficazes ou força bruta pura.
A fight between practitioners performed without any means is known as pre arranged sparring. Thus, during combat, both participants are completely free to attack and defend with all means and methods available with only one condition:
Which striker should score, striking the vital point without hitting the opponent fatally.
This is because the Taekwon-Do is a lethal form of self defense. So the rule of dispute of Taekwon-Do, unlike other sports, has focused only on the vital point strikes, instead of many coups ineffective or pure brute force.
