Travolta faces another lawsuit, Streisand ready to direct again

John Travolta is at the center of yet another lawsuit. A Los Angeles man who wrote a book about his alleged gay encounters with the actor filed a libel lawsuit against him. He claims Travolta and his lawyer spread false statements about his mental health in a bid to dissuade the public from buying his planned book. Reps for Travolta say the lawsuit is frivolous and that they are certain it will be thrown out in court.

Barbra Streisand is hoping to get back behind the camera and direct her first movie in 16 years. Streisand's spokesman confirmed reports that the singer and actress wants to direct "Skinny and Cat," a love story about writer Erskine Caldwell and his wife, photojournalist Margaret Bourke-White. It would be her first directing project since 1996's "The Mirror Has Two Faces." Streisand's spokesman said however that the project has not been given the go-ahead yet because of financing issues.

Finally, Mark Wahlberg hit the red carpet in Los Angeles for the premiere of "Ted" - a film about a degenerate teddy bear come to life. He was joined on the carpet by Mila Kunis and "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane, who wrote and directed the film and also voices the bear. "Ted" hits theaters on June 29.
