BALCONYTV DUBLIN POETRY WEEK

Kalle Ryan is a writer and performance poet from Waterford, Ireland. His energetic, passionate and wildly funny live poetry performances have seen him gain a reputation as a powerful new voice in the bubbling Dublin spoken word scene. Kalle's plays and poetry have been published in New York City and Utah and he can now list award winning songwriter to his credits, having penned "My Blood is Boiling for Ireland", the Irish Times alternative national anthem competition winner. He runs and MCs one of Dublin's most popular monthly arts nights "the brownbread mixtape", where he also writes and performs comedy sketches with the highly regarded Brownbread Players sketch troupe. In the past year he has performed his poems at notable Irish literary events such as the Dublin Writer's Festival, Electric Picnic and the Flatlakes Festival. Kalle lives in Dublin with his wife and son.
