"Like night blooming flowers these songs are best enjoyed after dusk, unfurling slowly with a quiet and enduring appeal, their approach has deep reaching hooks - the kind you don't feel going in but you can't easily dislodge."..- AMERICANA UK
Treecreeper was formed in 2005 by brothers Will and Greg Burns. After a childhood spent skateboarding and ingesting a diet of US hardcore and indie, Will began to hone his songwriting talent playing shows solo before Greg, along with schoolfriends Adam Killip and Steve Blackwell, were recruited to flesh out his poetic, heartfelt songs.
Releasing their debut album Grain in 2007 to much critical warmth, if little commercial success, Will spent the next 2 years writing the deeply personal material for Juniper while the band's sound also moved on, finding a definitive space of its own, no longer in thrall to their influences, but rather a welcome addition to the continuation of classic rock and folk traditions.
"The record that might have been made had Jay Farrar recruited Crazy Horse as his backing band rather than Neil Young." FOR FOLK"S SAKE
"Full of bittersweet poetry and raging crazy horse guitar solos, this is a perfect soundtrack to rural summers everywhere." ROUGH TRADE SHOPS
That rural summer soundtrack can be heard at this year's Green Man and Port Eliot Festivals. To keep up to date with Treecreeer's other appearances check out their Facebook page and myspace.com/treecreepermusic
