http://www.nma.tv/ For his daring rescue of a dying comrade, Sgt. Salvatore Giunta will receive the Medal of Honor from President Barack Obama. This will make him the first living recipient of the Medal of Honor from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Giunta was on patrol with Company B 2nd Battalion, 503 Infantry Regiment in Korengal valley in Afghanistan when they were ambushed by insurgents. Giunta bravely rescued a wounded fellow soldier, Sgt. Joshua C. Brennan, from two insurgents who were dragging him away. Brennan died of his wounds the next day.
