Taiwan man apprehended after stealing police vehicle

A 34-year-old man was arrested in Tainan after stealing a police van in a daring getaway. Police were called to the scene of a financial dispute only for one of the men to pull out a gun which failed to fire. The man then took a hostage before getting into the police vehicle and driving off as police tried to shoot out the tires. The injured man was found 5km away after a blowout caused the vehicle to crash.
