In 1886 Robert Bosch founded a workshop for precision mechanics in Stuttgart that has gone on to become the world’s biggest supplier of automobile components. Bosch designed magnetic ignition devices and spark plugs for the newly invented combustion engine – and saw his company boom.But the Bosch concern was also responsible for advances in headlights, brakes and also environementally friendly car technology developments.
