Cleaning Burn Stains on Stove

Cleaning Burn Stains on Stove - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. For cleaning burn stains off of a gas stove there are a couple of things I usually use. First and foremost is one of my favorite kitchen tools—the green scrubby. These are really popular in restaurants. It is the number 1 thing that is used to clean all their dishes and it is the number 1 thing that I use to clean my dishes at home. So if you do not use one of these, go to the store and get one. But, make sure you get a little bit better quality than some of the low-cost ones. Those can shred really easily in your hand and they do not last very well. So spend a little bit more money and get one that is pretty good quality. They will last a lot longer and you will get your money’s worth, I promise. This is also really good for cleaning out those burns around your stove. Remove the grates after they are cool. Apply maybe a soft cleanser or some all-purpose cleanser. You can let it sit for a little bit and do it is job. Then go ahead and give it a scrub. Now this should really take off anything on your gas stove. What is important though is that every gas stove is different. So you really want to make sure you read the manual or check your manufacturer’s instructions. If you do not have a manual, if you live in an apartment and did not buy the stove, you can just go online and look up what your manufacturer recommends. It is easy information to find and it will make a big difference so that you do not have a scratched-up stove, especially if you live in an apartment, or you at a client’s house, .or a friend’s house, and you do not really know what the stove recommends. Now, this is for gas stoves only. Glass-top or electric stoves can be different. So, again, read your manufacturer’s instructions. But for a gas stove, just give it a little elbow grease and you will be fine.
