Danish queen announces UN design prize

Denmark's Queen Margrethe II announced the winners Thursday of a competition to design new furniture for the UN headquarters in New York. As part of the restoration project of the UN complex, Denmark is funding the refurbishment of the Trusteeship Council Chamber. Danish designers Kasper Salto and Thomas Sigsgaard's chairs and tables were chosen for the future chamber.
