A tiny island nation in the Pacific made headlines this week after releasing a stamp commemorating Britain's upcoming royal wedding. Officials say the stamps are meant to celebrate the wedding, but the design of the stamps is raising some eyebrows.
The tiny Pacific nation of Niue [Nee-OO-ay] caused some unexpected controversy this week. That came after the country released postage stamps celebrating the upcoming British royal wedding that can be separated down the middle—between the bride and groom.
The stamp shows a photo of Prince William and his wife-to-be Kate Middleton next to each other, but includes a perforated line splitting them.
The stamps were made by the New Zealand Post.

According to media reports, Queen Elizabeth II approved the design before it went to print.
Niue's officials deny any ill-suggestion. They said that the stamps are a celebration of the royal wedding.
