Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have just released the happy news that they are the biological parents of a baby girl called Faith Margaret. Faith was born to a surrogate mother in the U.S. But the news has been kept well under wraps right up until now. Not only that, but the couple’s good news comes right when a controversial new law regarding surrogacy is about to be enforced in Australia. NTD’s Gina Shakespeare reports.

Actor Nicole Kidman and country music Star Keith Urban have become the happy parents to a second baby girl. Giving Sunday Rose a biological sister to play with.

Faith Margaret Kidman Urban was born at the Centennial Medical Centre in Nashville, Tennessee on December 28th, 2010 courtesy of a surrogate mother.

The couple, who have been busy at the Golden Globes, released a statement to the TMZ entertainment website saying:
"Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret. No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier."

But their happy news comes as a law in New South Wales, Australia is about to change, to declare criminal, parents who attempt to do the same.

The NSW Surrogacy Act, which was passed in November 2010 but has not yet come into force, will impose hefty fines and a two year jail sentence on both parents who pay for a surrogate here or abroad.

The couple, both 43 have not made any comments in regard to this law change in their second home. It's said they may not even know about it. So here’s hoping their good news isn’t overshadowed for the time being as they have been looking forward to adding to their family for some time now.
