nacriderm - The importance of Glycation

  • il y a 14 ans
Glycation, also known as the Maillard reaction, is a chemical reaction resulting from sugars attaching to proteins. Glycation occurs in all proteins of the body. It is notably involved in complications from diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. In the dermis, elastic and collagen fibers are the protein structures most affected by glycation. Glycation is responsible, directly or indirectly, for numerous early signs of aging and complications from dermatological procedures, especially sagging skin, rashes, bruising and edema, problems with wound healing and pigmentation disorders. Nacriderm has managed to isolate gallocatechin from Hamamelis virginiana extract. Gallocatechin inhibits glycation reactions by preventing sugars from attaching to proteins. As a result, 83% of patients who used Nacriderm during cosmetic procedures observed significant improvements in the state of their skin.
