Bilingual cast premiere The Green Hornet

Cameron Diaz has revealed what a challenge making new film The Green Hornet was, as everyone on set spoke different languages.

"It was wild," she said at the LA premiere. "Mostly we couldn't understand each other because everyone speaks a different language. Canadian, America, Taiwanese, and you know French. And even when Michel is speaking English no one can understand him."

The superhero film stars Diaz, Seth Rogen and Taiwanese actor Jay Chou in his first American film.

It is also French director Michel Goundry's first big Hollywood blockbuster.

It is a remake of a Sixties TV series starring Bruce Lee as sidekick Kato.

For Chou, taking on such an iconic role was nerve-wracking, he said: "No matter who plays the new Kato they would be nervous because Bruce Lee is a legend."

The Green Hornet is out in the UK on Friday 14 January.
