And now we take you to Dubai International Film Festival where student volunteers were happy to meet with the stars on the red carpet. Here’s more from our correspondents.

In Dubai, Arab films and filmmakers were once again in the spotlight at the largest film festival in the Middle East last week. The Dubai International Film Festival also gave student volunteers a chance to meet the stars and get closer to fulfilling their dreams.

Young film enthusiasts volunteer their time at the festival to help make it a success.
This student volunteer from Dubai is responsible for organizing the Red Carpet and welcoming stars from all over the world. And he does it with a smile.

[Walid Ahmed, Film Student Volunteer]:
“In one word I loved it. Really, I love it. I love to be a volunteer in Dubai International Film Festival, I love it!”

He dreams of becoming a filmmaker and hopes this experience will bring him one step closer.

And there are many things that need to be done to keep the show running smoothly.

[Shaikha Al Falasi, Film Student Volunteer]:
“I do different jobs, sometimes in the red carpets I welcome the people and sometimes in from the theater I cut the tickets and sometimes I’m a clicker. I count how many people came to see the movie.”

The effort of the volunteers did not go unrecognized by the stars.

[Emma Caulfield, Actress]:
“I don’t see how you can put on a festival without it, because the festival is massive and you need as much help as you can get.”

The Dubai International Film Festival welcomes film and show business stars from across the world.

Past editions of the festival have show cased more than 400 films, including short films and documentaries from over 50 mostly Arab, Asian and African countries.
