McFly embrace pilot role play

McFly turned on the Christmas lights at Heathrow and embraced the theme with a selection of male and female pilot outfits.

The band, who reached number 4 this week with their new single, surprised passengers and staff with the first ever gig to be performed at an airport.

As the boys donned their pilot uniforms, bass player Dougie Poynter decided to wear a skirt, heels and lipstick for the occasion.

The band serenaded the crowds with their hits such as Party Girl and Shine a Light from their new album, Above the Noise, as well as old favourites including All About You and Star Girl.

They said: "We've performed in some weird and wonderful locations before, but Heathrow was really special."
