Filip Petcu_2009_The Car- A protest against global warming

international: (Romania, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey, Belgium). The idea of this installation-happing occured spontaneous caused by a sparkle of contingent inspiration. Concept and coordination of the installation-happening belong to Filip Petcu ©2009.Photos and movie: by Filip Petcu ©2009The present car is picked up from a car cemetery and mounted in downtown Bergama ( the ancient city of Pergamon ) in the western part of now-a-days Turkey. The Mustang becomes by will of the artist and through help of his team-mates and communitarians a newsboard for the messages of the people passing by, concerned by the issue of global warming,
which is presumtively caused by high level of global consumerism which
contributes to accelerated rythmes of radical changes in traditionalist
societies.The Mustang becomes an anti-product, packed in brand new transparent PET-stretch material, almost like similar common enveloped hypermarket products.
