Ladybugs, Sea Turtles and Abortion

This is Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, continuing in our series on preaching on abortion.  In my pro-life homilies, I mention the public notice in Alabama that prohibits the killing of ladybugs, which are protected by law. If we don’t have the right to choose to smash a ladybug, why do we have the right to smash a baby in the womb? I have also talked about the signs I found in Florida that say, “Do not touch the sea turtles or their eggs. They are protected by local, state and federal law.” People have told me that these stories changed them from being pro-abortion to pro-life.
