Derrick Martin Prom Night News Report

This is a final local TV news report on the successful high school prom as Derrick Martin was allowed to have HIS BOYFRIEND Richard Goodman as his date for the prom. Bleckley County High School in Cochran Georgia approved the date. There was some community and family opposition and a protest at the county courthouse. A local church considered hosting an alternate prom to avoid sharing prom night with a gay couple. There was a rally to show support for Derrick and Facebook groups where thousands showed their support to Derrick & Richard having their date.

All while controversy reigned over Constance McMillen was denied her lesbian prom date in Fulton Mississippi. This final news report and notes showcase the successful result of Derrick's prom in Georgia.
