Another in the Amarillo College Natural History Museum series. This the Michael Ray Evans Butterfly Collection.This collection was made by a remarkable young man who at the time was in his teens.
Young Mr. Evans had the opportunity to travel with the Lepidopterist's Society on collecting expeditions to Southeast Asia and South America as well as collecting trips throughout the United States. He was tutored by the best specialists in the country and the results can be seen in the collection now in the ACNHM.
The collection is remarkable for its quality and scientific accuracy. What an inspiration to regional youth.
