Marie Trottoir from Edith Piaf

We made this video in Paris in November 2008. The director met briefly with the cameraman and me, explained the project, and the next day we shot the scenes in about two hours. It is about a prostitute being pursued by a lonely man, set to the music of Edith Piaf. The three of us met only once, but we clicked and got a nice project out of it—without a lot of fancy equipment and crews and lighting. I like working in a fast-paced production environment, and projects like this appeal to me for that reason.Filmed in Paris, France. Camera: David Smadja, Directed by Gerrit Marks
