00:00The government is partnering with the country's umbrella organization of firms and professionals involved in various aspects of housing and the real estate industry to create more affordable housing for Filipinos.

00:12PTV's Meribel Custodio tells us more.

00:17The government continues to work hand-in-hand with the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders Association, Inc., Ocreba, to increase the number of affordable homes available to Filipinos.

00:28Thus, the Central and Northern Luzon Regional Housing Conference and Expo was held earlier in Clark, Pampanga.

00:34Ocreba is 45 years as a private partner of government to provide feedback to government on various programs, issues, and laws that affect the real estate development industry.

00:48This initiative also supported by those from private sectors and government agencies as well,

00:53including the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, or Dishun, and the Pag-ibig Fund.

00:59Kahit saan ka magpunta ngayon, nakikita mo yung proliferation of not low-cost decent housing, but a lot of informal settlers community.

01:10Yun ang una mga tinatarget, people that are in dangerous zones, living in creeks and estereos.

01:17Local government units and developers are collaborating to create programs that enable the construction of affordable housing in these sectors.

01:25Yung mga line agencies natin, because kailangan natin, kailangan ng mga developers ito,

01:31sa pagkuhan ng mga permits, mga licenses, land conversion, kaya nandito sila,

01:37so nandito sila rin para magsalita kung may mga bagong programa sila para sila makatulong sa mga developers,

01:45para kami naman maka-provide din ng more housing, and in line with the housing program of the government,

01:52KREBA aims to reach its annual target of 500,000 housing units.

01:59As early as 2021, we have already issued Dar Amnistic Order No. 3 series of 2021,

02:08and as amended by Dar Amnistic Order No. 3, that's a 2021.

02:15Those issuances lessen the requirements for the applications and grant of application for conversion.

02:27Part of the requirements and options for land conversion applications are certifications from the SHUD, LGU, NIA, DOTR, DA, DOEN, NTC,

02:37while the exhibit features various companies that supply housing construction materials and insurances.
