00:00Okay, we've seen a lot of people drive into homes through the years on this show.
00:08It always makes news, but this one's a little different.
00:10This guy drove into a house, and while the people from the house were talking to the
00:15news about it, he comes back to beg for forgiveness.
00:21Oh, well, um, I forgive you, but what happened?
00:26Why are you drunk?
00:27Odd Story from Spring Hill, Florida, and the details from WFLA-TV.
00:33This has never happened at any scene I have been to before.
00:37We were speaking with a woman and her son who live inside the home behind me when all of
00:42a sudden a man comes up to us, says he was the driver of the car that crashed into the
00:47home, gets on his knees, and starts asking for forgiveness.
00:51It's just crazy.
00:52I'm sorry.
00:54I didn't mean to run into your house.
00:56What happened?
00:58I have seizures.
00:59There he is.
01:00I just got out of the house.
01:01I'm so sorry.
01:02I'm so sorry.
01:02I'm so sorry.
01:02You should not have been driving.
01:04I don't have seizures no more.
01:06I feel like, okay, can you go now?
01:08Don't touch me, by the way.
01:09Can you just leave?
01:10This is his reaction to this man coming to her house.
01:13I'm sorry.
01:14I'm so sorry.
01:16I had a seizure.
01:17Honestly.
01:18I had a seizure and crashed into your house.
01:21I'm sorry.
01:22If I can ever find her home.
01:24You're going to do this.
01:25Oh, my God.
01:26I never will.
01:27She's blurred out.
01:28You're going to have a sleeveless tee and those sweet shades on, too.
01:31Oh, my God.
01:31That's a great look.
01:32Get down on your knees and beg for her forgiveness.
01:34That's worse than the crash.
01:35So this guy comes back at a speed.
01:38Please don't.
01:39Please forgive me.
01:39I'd have to make a claim with my insurance company.
01:41Get the hell out of here.
01:43Isn't he saying something like, I had a seizure, but I have no money?
01:47Is that what he said?
01:48I have no money.
01:48Let's go back and listen again here to Lisa's worst nightmare.
01:51Yeah.
01:53What happened?
01:54I have a seizure.
01:56We just got out of this guy.
01:58I'm so sorry.
01:59You should not have been driving.
02:01I don't have any money.
02:03I know.
02:04I thought he said I didn't hurt.
02:04No, I hope I didn't hurt nobody.
02:06Oh, maybe.
02:06Out of nowhere.
02:08I know, but you shouldn't have been driving.
02:09The man there told me his name was Rudy, and he had just left the hospital.
02:13Rudy, get out of here, Rudy.
02:14The intake bracelet was still on his wrist, and he had a wrap bandage on his arm.
02:18He said the doctors told him he had a minor seizure.
02:22Rudy then said he hadn't had a seizure in three years.
02:25He said he would make it all right for the family, and he lives just down the street.
02:28I feel bad for him, but again, having seizures, you should not be on the road.
02:32But regardless, getting cleared three years ago, he could have killed somebody on the road,
02:36somebody walking.
02:37It couldn't have been anything.
02:38Hernando County Fire Rescue said the crash happened just after 6.30 this morning.
02:43Mom was home with her five-year-old son at the time.
02:45All of a sudden, I heard a big explosion.
02:47I came running out.
02:48I had seen the car in the living room.
02:51Everything was my couch.
02:52Everything in the car was in the living room.
02:53She said her husband and son had just left a few minutes earlier to go to the school bus stop.
02:58If they hadn't, the car might have hit them.
03:01He should have his driver's license.
03:02He should have never had his driver's license.
03:04That's crazy that he even got his license if he had seizures like that.
03:09Because if one of us was in there, that would have been a whole different story.
03:12Officials told us that the Hernando County Building Department is currently evaluating the home
03:16for structural stability before the family can move back into it.
03:20The family also told us that they're not allowed inside right now because of all the exposed wires.
03:26Pretty sure you can get a license with seizures.
03:28Yeah, you can.
03:29There's a lot of people that go around.
03:31I think when you have one, you have to not have one for a certain amount of time,
03:38and then they'll let you get back out on the road.
03:41A guy had a buddy that had one out of nowhere, and I think it was medicine.
03:45It was caused by taking too much of some certain medicine or whatever.
03:48And they were like, well, you can't drive now for three months or six months or whatever it was.
03:54But then you're back on the road.
03:56Yeah, if you don't have one for X amount of time, then they clear you again to drive.
04:00But one, a lot of people thought that was Chuck making that voice.
04:04That wasn't.
04:04That was an actual guy in the news story.
04:06That was him.
04:07And two, if that was Lisa, as the cameraman, I would just be on her face as she reacted to that.
04:13As she was looking at that guy on his hands and knees.
04:15It's crazy.
04:16I didn't mean to run into your eyes.
04:20What happened?
04:22I have seizures.
04:24Also, shut up.
04:26I mean, I have to shut up.
04:27You should not have been driving.
04:28I don't have seizures no more.
04:30I know.
04:30I guess it's awkward when that's your neighbor.
04:36He lives down the street.
04:37You're like, hey, Rudy.
04:39Shaky Rudy's here.
04:40Hi, Rudy.
04:41Hi, Riley.
04:42You just don't walk in your dog again.
04:44I want to apologize again.
04:46I'm just so sorry that I did that to you.
04:49Oh, my God.
04:49Rudy's here again.
04:51Rudy.
04:53We got to go, Rudy, man.
04:55Take care, dude.
04:56See you next time.
04:57I'll see you around.
04:58I'll see you next time.
05:00He's going to go to this little farmer's market down the street here.
05:02See?
05:03Okay, okay.
05:04Oh, Rudy's here.
05:05Oh, hey.
05:06Oh, hi, Rudy.
05:08I'm your trainer, Joe.
05:09Yeah, Rudy.
05:10You shop here, too?
05:12Oh, it's okay.
05:13I haven't seen you.
05:15Yeah, we know, Rudy.
05:16I haven't wanted you.
05:17Yeah.
05:18Oh, you shouldn't be driving, man.
05:20I'm not.
05:21Did you drive here, Rudy?
05:22I walked here.
05:23Okay, okay.
05:24That's probably better.
05:26Okay, anyway, Rudy, we got to go again, man.
05:28Let me get up off my knees again.
05:30Yeah, weird.
05:31Anyways, we got some fast food.
05:33Maybe hit Mickey D's here.
05:34Oh, hey, can I take your order?
05:36Rudy, you work here?
05:37Yeah, I work at McDonald's.
05:39No.
05:39That's all I can do.
05:41I'm not allowed to work anywhere else.
05:43I got to pay for your houses.
05:46Oh, yeah, Rudy.
05:47Can I just get a McChicken?
05:50Yeah, it's on me.
05:50Okay, just one McChicken, please.
05:52One McChicken.
05:54Yeah, and maybe a Coke Zero, I guess.
05:56And get him a Diet Coke.
05:57No, Coke Zero guy said Coke Zero.
05:59Diet Coke.
05:59No, Coke Zero.
06:02God damn it, Rudy, Coke Zero.
06:05Rudy.
06:05Oh, yeah, another seizure.
06:07I gave him another seizure.
06:08Don't yell at Rudy.
06:09Oh, no.
06:13She was able to be condescending while he was doing that.
06:16Oh, yeah, big time.
06:18But couldn't he have picked a different time and just walked up and set him on his, you
06:22know, and it's in front of the news crew.
06:24And you just drive by if you're Rudy and make that out there alive.
06:28And also, I'm like, I know you're going to sue me and stuff.
06:30So, like, just the smart person inside of me is saying, I probably don't want to have
06:36any contact.
06:38I just let the lawyer.
06:39The lawyer is going to handle all this stuff.
06:41I can apologize later.
06:42Yeah, I get wanting to say you're sorry and feel bad about it.
06:45Yes, yes.
06:45It's a little dramatic.
06:46You're not on your hands and knees.
06:47Yeah, I mean.
06:49Come on.
06:50That's not how I want to look on the news.
06:51You know what, guys?
06:51I am so sorry.
06:52I had a seizure.
06:53I haven't had one in three years.
06:55That sounds like.
06:57Please forgive me.
06:59And I would just be like, I had a medical thing.
07:01Like, you don't want to say on camera anything about anything.
07:05Rudy ain't the brightest.
07:06Well, no.
07:07Okay?
07:07Rudy is dumb as a brick.
07:10Yes, he is.
07:11Is it almost impossible not to forgive someone when they come up to you on your front lawn?
07:16Yeah, we have to forgive them.
07:17On their hands and knees and grab your hand like that?
07:20Like, don't you just have to be like, imagine she was like, no.
07:25You're not forgiven, you bastard.
07:27I don't know if I'd forgive you that easily.
07:29I don't know if she did.
07:30My house is destroyed.
07:31I'm looking at the structural damage to my house.
07:34I don't think she did forgive him, really.
07:37She just told him that he should have been driving.
07:39I'm sorry.
07:41I didn't mean to run into you.
07:42Look at that guy's face.
07:43The son doesn't know what to do.
07:44What happened?
07:45I have seizures.
07:47I just got all of those gloves.
07:48I'm so sorry.
07:49I hurt anybody.
07:49You should not have been driving.
07:52I don't have seizures no more.
07:53But she just did.
07:55I know, but she wouldn't be driving.
07:57The man there.
07:58He's like, keep rolling.
07:59Oh, yeah, he thought that was the greatest news moment ever.
08:02Roll on this moron.
08:03It's incredible for him.
08:04The news guy.
08:05Oh, it really is.
08:07No, are you kidding?
08:08A crying high-pitched man.
08:11We're going to play this all night.
08:13I'm sorry.
08:15Yeah.
08:15Yeah, you don't want Rudy as your neighbor.
08:19Because he could slam into your house at any moment.
08:21And then we believe back for forgiveness.
08:24Yeah.
08:24You just hope to God they can still live in that place.
08:28I don't know.
08:29It does not look like it would be safe.
08:31It's going to take a while, I think, before they can safely live inside.
