00:00What's going on? Justin Valentine with Motor City Sports Talk, The Roar. We are at Belleville High School with our friends at Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network. I got my friend DeJuan here with me, and we are here interacting with the student-athletes, talking about mental health. Of course, May is Mental Health Awareness Month, talking about your brand, right? Talking about social media, doing something special like this for high school athletes, a lot of them that don't get something like this, right?
00:26Yeah, so I believe the most important part about this is raising awareness. A lot of people deal with trauma. They don't even understand it, and then they go into these programs, and they're athletes, and then they get lost in the sauce. So having somebody like Herman Moore come and talk to them about the trajectory of his life and how he wasn't really a scholar and things that he had to do to pivot to get to where he is is super important. So here at Wayne, here at DeWin, we just facilitate those type of things.
00:52Right. And you mentioned Herman Moore here, having someone like him who obviously has done a lot here in Detroit. We know what he's done for the Lions. He's been there, done that when it comes to being a professional athlete. What kind of message are you guys trying to send to the community, to these athletes who are hoping to get to the next level?
01:07Well, see, I think it's important for them to see somebody that looks like them, right? So you come in here, and then we see Herman Moore. You see his team. You see these guys that are trying to really motivate these guys to be better people. You talk about their brand and their image and things like that. And now we have social media. Social media, when you are in the limelight, you are under the microscope of social media, and you have to really be careful about what you're doing. And your mental is the most important thing. So having Herman Moore and his team come out to do that is super important.
01:33Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network is making this happen. Bellevay High School, you guys were at e-course yesterday. Former Detroit Lion Herman Moore, again, so impactful for the community. Thank you so much for making this event happen.
01:42Talk to you guys very soon.
