Chennai Man’s Heroic Act Saves Boy Who Suffered Electric Shock In Waterlogged Street

A 24-year-old man's heroic act saved the life of a 9-year-old boy who collapsed after suffering an electric shock in a waterlogged street in Chennai's Arumbakkam. The incident occurred on April 16 and a video went viral on April 20. Jaden Ryan, a Class 3 student, was going to school when he fell into stagnant rainwater after being electrocuted by an exposed underground electric cable. Kannan Thamizhselvan, who works for a construction material supplier, was stepping out for work when he noticed Jaden shaking in the electrified water. Kannan immediately stopped his bike & ran across the water to help Jaden. He gave him CPR and took him to the nearby hospital, eventually saving his life.
