Chennai Super Kings returned to winning ways with a superb performance, beating Lucknow Super Giants by five wickets in IPL 2025 on April 14. Batting first, Lucknow Super Giants scored 166/7. For Chennai Super Kings, Ravindra Jadeja (2/24) and Matheesha Pathirana (2/45) got two wickets each while Khaleel Ahmed (1/38) and Anshul Kamboj (1/20) got one apiece. In response, Chennai Super Kings came out on top, winning the match in 19.3 overs. Shivam Dube was CSK's top-scorer as he hit 43* off 37 balls while MS Dhoni smashed an unbeaten 26 runs off just 11 balls. For Lucknow Super Giants, Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets (2/18). CSK broke their five-match losing streak, winning just their second game in IPL 2025.
