00:00Police have recorded statements from both bus drivers involved in a collision in front of a bus stop along Jalan Persiaran Perdana, University Utara, Malaysia, UUM, in Sintok, which claimed the life of a 22-year-old student.
00:17The victim, Manarina Hashia Muhammad Karim, was pinned by the bus in front of her as she waited to board.
00:23She succumbed to her injuries after receiving 10 hours of treatment at the hospital.
00:28Kubang Pasu District Police Chief Superintendent Muhammad Radzi Abdul Rahim said,
00:33No arrests have been made at this stage.
00:37The 37-year-old driver of the front bus gave his statement on Saturday,
00:42while the 32-year-old driver of the second bus, believed to have caused the crash, was detained around 4.30 p.m. on Sunday for questioning.
00:51The 32-year-old was later released after providing his statement and testing negative for drugs.
00:59According to Muhammad Radzi, the driver told investigators he did not realise the bus ahead had stopped.
01:06A post-mortem revealed the victim died from blunt force trauma that caused bruising to the heart.
