00:00Stick around and call this 4.50 last chance qualifier with us
00:04Top 4 go through to the main event
00:08Let's see who gets the best start
00:12Mitchell Harrison in the mix
00:14Oh
00:15He sure is out in front
00:17Harrison almost tucked his front end in that right-hander
00:22Again, SMX track crew watering in between some of these races
00:26Just to keep the moisture in the track like Jorge was talking about.
00:30Otherwise, it will get extremely dusty, dry and slick.
00:33Trying to keep pristine conditions.
00:36Yeah, we see again some of the riders is trying a little bit with this opening lap.
00:41These tricky conditions, right?
00:43It's slippery and it's not easy.
00:45No, and they're trying to go as fast as they can because last chance qualifier, it's it.
00:51You don't transfer here, it's game over.
00:53And you want to make most of the passes in the opening laps.
00:57That's where everybody's together and it's the easiest.
01:00So, yeah, you're dealing with a difficult track and at the same time, you just try to make passes.
01:06That was a nice move from Jeremy Hand as he went around the outside of Tristan Lane.
01:10Tristan fought back, but Jeremy's hanging on to that position for now.
01:16Tristan Lane fight back, so he's on this inside.
01:18He's going to be perfect.
01:19Does he defend the inside spot?
01:22No, Jeremy Hand tried to come back underneath him.
01:25Great riding by these guys, like what Jorge was saying, how slick those 90-degree corners are.
01:35Keep an eye in the background, too, in blue and white.
01:38Grant Harlan aboard that 43.
01:40There's Grant.
01:41He holds on to that fourth and final transfer position, but Payton Clayson is right with him.
01:46Cade coming back from an injury.
01:50He's been back now for a couple weeks, and he got injured back in Tampa earlier on in the season.
01:58As you think about it, lunges on the inside of Grant Harlan, Grant Hanks tough for now.
02:10Mitchell Harrison leads by almost two seconds.
02:12It's so tough, these last chance qualifiers, because you don't want to make a mistake, but at the same time, you have to maintain a fast-paced JT and what you got.
02:27He took the words right out of my mouth there, Ricky.
02:30He's in such a tough position here, because he has to ride defensive.
02:33He has to be aware of Cade Clayson's going to try to make a move, but he also has to try to keep his lap times low, so he doesn't get swallowed up by the guys behind him.
02:41And unfortunately for Grant Harlan, he has been in so many of these LCQs this year.
02:46Now he's won some, and he's also been on the losing end of some, thinking about Seattle.
02:50So let's see if he's learned anything and found a way to get into this main event.
02:53This is Tristan Lane.
02:54Jeremy Hand battle is far from over 2.10 left on the clock, plus a lap.
02:58Grant Harlan, then Cade Clayson.
03:01Kevin Morant is just a couple of seconds off that as well.
03:05See what Kevin can do in these closing laps.
03:09Meanwhile, up front, Mitchell Harrison, who's doing a super job, is coming off his equal best result of the season, making the main, finishing 16th at Philadelphia.
03:19He's done that several times throughout this season, aboard his Partzilla Kawasaki.
03:25And while Mitchell continues to lead and lead well, let's check in with Weeds.
03:29Jason, why again?
03:29Where do we find you, mate?
03:31Yeah, thanks, Lee.
03:32In the pit with Henry Miller, who just won that 250 last chance qualifier.
03:35I want to show you the measures they have to do for a privateer racer to compete at the highest level.
03:41I'll show you what's inside his suspension.
03:44If you were to buy a motorcycle, it would look like this.
03:46These are called travel control valves.
03:48They have huge holes, which allow a lot of oil to move through the front suspension for a smooth ride.
03:53But a fast rider would bottom out.
03:55It'd feel like riding over a speed bump in the parking lot instantly.
03:59That's not what you want, taking off from a 70-foot jump.
04:02A pro expert level rider on a motocross track would have holes this big, significantly smaller.
04:07But for supercross, they switch to these.
04:11Look at the difference between a motorcycle you would buy and what a professional supercross rider has on the racetrack.
04:18Stiff ride, but that's what they need for control.
04:22Otherwise, they can't do these jumps.
04:24Fantastic explanation there.
04:28Pit report by Wygant.
04:31It was even good for me.
04:32I didn't even know about that.
04:33There you go.
04:34You learn every day something new.
04:37It's good.
04:39Hey, Jorge.
04:39Well, we watched Kawasaki rider out in front of Mitchell Harrison.
04:42Unfortunately, your teammate this year, Jason Anderson, had to not finish.
04:47He was sitting on the sideline.
04:48He won't finish the supercross season as we sit here right now.
04:51So, therefore, you look elsewhere for other riders in green.
04:54What do you make of 250 star and co-championship leader, Seth Hacker?
04:59Oh, yeah.
04:59I mean, Seth's riding super good.
05:02It's, you know, I've been watching the races, and he's very smooth.
05:06Like, he's just putting everything together, and he's flowing.
05:10We could see in the heat race, he had a great pace.
05:13This morning, he was hitting big rhythms, and he had a great lap in the qualifying.
05:17So, I feel like he has his confidence level high, and he can do good tonight.
05:21I mean, the championship is tight, and hopefully the Kawasaki is up front in the main event.
05:29Mitchell Harrison's keeping the green up front here for sure.
05:32He won the LCQ in Birmingham earlier this year,
05:35and certainly en route on this final lap to go through to the main again.
05:40He's had a pretty good transfer ratio when he's been in the LCQ of making it to the main more than 50% of the time.
05:49So, keeping that going here in New Jersey this afternoon.
05:53Grant Harlan has been able to withstand the pressure from Kate Clayson and just eke out a bit more of an advantage there.
06:01And things have stabilized, Ricky, between Tristan Lane and Jeremy Hand as well.
06:05Yeah, getting down to the wire here.
06:08Two more corners for Harrison, and he's going to get it locked in.
06:13Tristan Lane there, and not as many fireworks as what we normally see, but...
06:19A terrific start and a great ride by Mitchell Harrison aboard his part of Zilla Kawasaki to win.
06:25Tristan Lane, Jeremy Hand, and Grant Harlan.
06:27They're the four that we will see in the 450 main event.
06:32Jorge, thanks so much.
06:33Congrats on the recovery.
06:34We look forward to seeing you in the Pro Motocross Championship.
06:37Thank you.
