00:00Let's play Plead the Fifth with Orlando and the Freak Show on Wild 94.1.
00:15Hooked up by 1-800-ASK-GARY. Now, who's taking the stand?
00:19Oh, it's me. Headed to the jury box, getting sworn in, got questions fired at me from all of y'all.
00:26Getting three from the audience, three from the room. I get one pass and one boomerang, and we're going in clockwise order.
00:33So, Davi is first up.
00:34I shall go first. My question is hot out of the oven. I just thought of it.
00:41Okay, so it kind of just hit me. I've been watching you on social media.
00:45You took your girls to the gun range or one of your daughters this past weekend.
00:49You guys went to the little selfie place, took a bunch of pictures.
00:52It kind of hit me that you are now a single dad. You're living that single dad life.
00:59So, hypothetically speaking, let's say you meet somebody and your daughter is like, I don't like her.
01:06I don't like her.
01:08Okay.
01:09Would you kind of try to build on that relationship or would that be a deal breaker automatically?
01:15I mean, that would be hard. Like, when I told my daughters that, you know, the living arrangement that we had was like, you know, past this prime and I was going to be sliding, you know, and we're creating us a space over there.
01:30They were excited. And then, like, the conversation didn't go crazy like I thought it was going to go.
01:35They were like, you know, we kind of assumed that was going to happen, blah, blah, blah.
01:38So, we get a new room, blah, blah, blah.
01:40And then they said, as far as, like, they're like, Daddy, we can't really see you get married.
01:45Like, they're like, that's because they only know me as far as the relationship I've had with their mom.
01:50And so, they're like, nah, I can't really see that.
01:52They're like, we can see you dating, but we're going to have to check them out first.
01:55And so, they let me know that they want, you know, that smoke.
01:59They're like, we need to meet them and make sure that they fit whatever is going to be going on.
02:05That's beautiful.
02:05So, I mean, you know, I don't know about them voting anybody off the island.
02:09They might have to just have to win them over or something.
02:11But, yeah, they're good.
02:13They're ready to meet somebody, I guess.
02:15Yeah, you have been single for a little while now.
02:17Jesus, really? Is this the vibe?
02:19You better get ready.
02:21We locked it loaded today.
02:22Okay.
02:23Okay.
02:23So, where do you, not your daughters or your family or anything, where do you stand on marriage now?
02:32And, this is a two-part question, and...
02:34Where do I stand on marriage?
02:35Now, single Orlando.
02:38And, if you met the one, and she wanted just one kid, just one, are she leaving?
02:45Would you?
02:46It's a two-part.
02:47Where do you stand on marriage now as single Orlando?
02:51Where do I stand?
02:51I mean, honestly, I don't know.
02:53Like, I mean, I would have to meet somebody that, like, definitely reestablishes my faith in marriage.
02:59Just because, like, I mean, my faith in, like, partnership, I should say.
03:03Marriage?
03:03Like, I watch Davi do the dance, and everybody gets on with him about marriage.
03:08But, I'm starting to lean on his side, just as far as, like, yo.
03:12But, I'm saying, like, you're looking at two people who are happy-happy, and that's a good, like, barometer.
03:17Like, you know, like, it's working.
03:19You see people get married, and then all of a sudden, they...
03:22Because expectations get crazy.
03:24Rules get established.
03:26And then, you got to fall under the marriage blanket and stuff.
03:29And, I'm just seeing that as, like, you know, kind of flawed right now.
03:32Losing your freedom again.
03:33So many rules.
03:34So, I mean, if I'm with somebody, and they're like, yo, I want to have a kid.
03:38You met the one.
03:40Now, there's no other chick.
03:41You've met her, and you're like, wow.
03:43I can't believe you've been out there.
03:44Okay, this is it.
03:46I mean, I probably can have some more.
03:48I'm assuming, I guess.
03:49Okay.
03:50I don't know.
03:50You know.
03:51I can crank out some kids.
03:52Ladies, do you hear Orlando right now?
03:55Yeah.
03:55Fire some out real quick.
03:56Not any of y'all.
03:58No.
03:59No.
04:00You know, you're not meeting really good ladies.
04:02All right.
04:03Let me do next.
04:04All right.
04:04So, my question is a little different, right?
04:06I hope so.
04:07Good thing.
04:07Good thing.
04:08So, I got some statistics to throw at you.
04:10Oh, man.
04:10Oh, God.
04:11As of three months ago, there are currently 31 job openings across the board for full-time
04:17employees at our company.
04:19Now, I know you think where I'm going with this, but I'm not.
04:25You did research on it.
04:26I did do research.
04:27There's 31 positions that are open with our company.
04:30Full-time.
04:31Okay.
04:31Not full-time.
04:32Throughout the country.
04:32Yeah.
04:32Yeah.
04:33All the businesses.
04:34All right.
04:34Yeah.
04:35So, how come you haven't made any moves or talked to anybody about filling the fourth
04:40spot on this show?
04:42I'm not asking for myself.
04:43Okay.
04:44You wrote that down, too.
04:45I'm not asking for myself.
04:46I'm not asking for myself, comma, not involved in it.
04:52Do you feel like you're happy with what the three of you are doing right now?
04:57I'm very happy with what we're doing right now.
05:00I mean, you're only as good as your last scoreboard report, and the show is number one in the last
05:07ratings period.
05:08So, I think we're happy with that.
05:10I think the company is just on a money hustle.
05:13Like, they're just like, look, y'all was doing it before, and now, you know, you're a victim
05:17of your own success.
05:18Right.
05:19If we were in here stumbling over ourselves, they would be like, y'all need some help.
05:22But we've been able to, you know, we've got some pride in what we do.
05:25Meredith is doing extra.
05:26I'm doing extra.
05:27I'm doing extra.
05:28You know?
05:29But I do think that that's something that they keep talking about.
05:33We're going to be able to, because it's just some stuff we can't do.
05:35Right.
05:36You know, she has to go home.
05:37He has to go do his efforts.
05:38I got to go be PD.
05:40So, somebody has to work on the show.
05:42So, I assume that they're going to, you know, rectify that.
05:45Now, COVID is over.
05:46Yeah.
05:47Yeah.
05:47A fourth person would be nice to pick up where someone else picked off.
05:52These guys are clearly overworked.
05:54Every time I see Meredith and Javi in the hallway, they're sweating.
05:58They're still busy.
05:59I can't get a word in.
06:00Yeah.
06:00Meredith is a sweater.
06:01She is.
06:02She is.
06:02She is a sweater.
06:03All right.
06:03We got her friend.
06:05Speaking for a friend, of course.
06:07Coming in.
06:07Out of the 813, Orlando.
06:08It says, if a woman is interested in you, what is something that would make her stand out?
06:13What do you look for in a woman?
06:15I mean, I've always had a set thing in my head, and that didn't work.
06:22Asians?
06:26I did.
06:28That was for a couple of hot summers.
06:30I did.
06:31I did.
06:32I'm guilty of that.
06:33I mean, I've gone through phases of like, but I don't think ethnicities and stuff like
06:38that.
06:38Like, I've gone through the Latina phase, and you know, like, I was engaged before.
06:43Big shout out to Andre.
06:44You know, so I'm like, I've had, you know, black, white, you know, so I don't think ethnicity
06:50is just it.
06:51What's most important?
06:52Most important, honestly, is just to have something to do.
06:56What?
06:57Like, like something that you're mad passionate about.
07:00Like, whether it's a job or, you know, for the person, like, you know, job is what we
07:05all think of, but a career, like something that you do that you're passionate about, and
07:11it could totally be something that I don't do, so I can learn something that, you know,
07:16somebody else's world.
07:17You know what I'm saying?
07:18I would think that would probably be something.
07:21So, so, when I come home, it ain't somebody who listened to the show and heard the whole
07:26show and want to talk about everything that I do.
07:28I'm like, what did you do?
07:30You cut out somebody's spleen today?
07:31Yeah.
07:32Oh, awesome.
07:33Oh, my God.
07:33You repose somebody's car?
07:35Oh, my God.
07:35They were shooting at you?
07:36Like, I just want to hear some stories about something that you're passionate about, too.
07:41Love it.
07:41So, I think that would probably be it.
07:43Now, you can't, you know, be looking like Danny Glover and be like, let me tell you what
07:48I do.
07:48We're like, nah, there's some things that got to go in with that.
07:52But that's my...
07:55Danny Glover.
07:56Yeah, for real.
07:56Now, somebody's going to see this is going to be like, what's wrong with Danny Glover?
08:00Nothing.
08:01All right, what we got?
08:02Orlando, at your heaviest weight, was it hard making love?
08:06Was it a challenge?
08:08Nah, man.
08:09Angles.
08:11I mean, it was, you know what?
08:13You know what was hard for me?
08:14And I told you this one time.
08:15Somebody was giving, a bigger lady, I went to get a massage, and a bigger lady was massaging
08:20me.
08:20And she was, you know, going in.
08:22And she was dripping sweat on me while I was getting a massage.
08:26And I didn't know what it was.
08:27I thought that she was dropping oil or something, until I realized both of her hands were on
08:31my back.
08:32And something was dripping.
08:33And I'm like, what?
08:33She got an oil dripping?
08:34And I was like, oh my God.
08:36And so, when you're, when I was, my heaviest, I was 440 pounds.
08:41And sex with me, you know, there was a lot, it was a lot of angles and stuff.
08:46Like, you know, you can get there.
08:48Like side angles?
08:48But you move, I mean, yeah, it's like, yeah, yeah.
08:51What kind of what?
08:52It's like, you know, like, I mean, certain angles work better than others.
08:55Okay, yeah.
08:56When you got a lot of stomach, you know what I'm saying?
08:58Like, you got to get in the way sometimes.
08:59So, you got to get low.
09:02How low do your back go?
09:04You got to do certain things.
09:06But also, I was very, because I mean, that's cardio.
09:09It's like 440.
09:10You getting some clapping going on.
09:13You going to sweat.
09:14And then when I was dripping on folks.
09:17Can't be dripping on nobody.
09:19It's a lot of work.
09:19Yeah, it's a lot of work.
09:20So, I mean, you know, I think if I do get to partake in it now, it probably would be
09:26a little better.
09:27So, you know, things like a car mirror.
09:32Things appear bigger.
09:35You can get at it, you know, if you need to.
09:38All right.
09:38I got the last one.
09:39It's a text out the 727.
09:41It says, Orlando, if you had to replace Meredith or Davi with an old member of the freak show,
09:45who would you replace and who would you replace them with?
09:49If I had to replace one of y'all with one of the old members of the freak show.
09:54And you can plead the fifth so you don't have to think about this.
09:57Run in.
09:59They're happy with that.
10:02They want me to hit the button.
10:04Don't give that too much thought.
10:06We're good.
10:07We like it here.
10:08That's right.
10:09If I was going to replace one of y'all, I mean, I wouldn't replace if I was able to add somebody.
10:15Because I can't.
10:16As far as answering the question, I can't replace anybody.
10:21So, is that a plead the fifth or I just plead?
10:22You can go ahead and hit that button.
10:24I plead the fifth.
10:27I plead the fifth.
10:29One, two, three, four, five.
10:31I'm only pleading there because I wanted to be clean through it and hold my pass.
10:36But I couldn't answer the question because I don't think I would replace anybody.
10:40I would, you know, if I had to add somebody, that would be different.
10:42Yeah, that sounds genuine, too.
10:44That would be me changing the question.
10:46Let's see here.
10:47I need to boomerang one back.
10:49Most of them were really just about.
10:52They were very specific.
10:59If, well.
11:02What?
11:03Y'all have partners, too.
11:05So, I can't even flip that one on you.
11:07All right.
11:09So, as far as, quick, as far as the room here, what is your vote on getting somebody to help us as a fourth member of the show?
11:19If y'all had to answer Buck's question.
11:22What was his question specifically?
11:24His question was, are we happy with the three that are in the room?
11:28Would we like a fourth member?
11:30Oh, yeah.
11:30And, um.
11:30Dobby, go ahead.
11:31And Buck wants to know because he wants the job.
11:34Oh, yeah.
11:34Uh, yeah.
11:36Uh, yes to all of that.
11:37We're happy, but we do like a boomerang.
11:39Well, my boomerang can change a little bit since it's the only option.
11:42So, are you happy with the three in the room?
11:44Do you want to have a fourth?
11:45And would you consider hiring Buck for that position?
11:49All yeses.
11:50I'm happy.
11:51I would love a fourth person in here to do the stuff that I want to do.
11:55Right.
11:56And Buck could be that guy.
11:58We are hiring, I heard.
12:00Yeah.
12:01Meredith, what's your question?
12:02Uh, answer is yes, again.
12:04To all of that, I think Dobby and I talk about this probably like once a month.
12:07Uh, yeah.
12:08We would love the extra help with, uh, certain aspects of the show.
12:12Uh, we are hiring.
12:14We are.
12:15We ain't hiring now.
12:16They still got a freeze going on.
12:18No, look.
12:19I don't think there's a freeze.
12:20I don't think there's a freeze anymore.
12:21They hired a whole new morning show down the hallway.
12:24Yeah, well.
12:24That's an exception.
12:25That's a whole other season.
12:26That's not us.
12:27That's a Q105 budget.
12:28They also giving away our drop top.
12:30So, like, I think we gave away Lowry Park this morning.
12:36Q105 got that whip.
12:38Hey, all right.
12:38We are the Q.
12:40The Q10 is different.
12:42Yeah.
12:42That hallway is a mother.
12:44Down that side, it's cars.
12:47We got Lowry Park and bars.
12:50That's what we got.
12:51P.E.Q.
12:51P.E.Q.
12:52P.E.Q.
12:53P.E.Q.
12:53Do I get the boomerang to question to you?
12:57Yeah, you get the boomerang to question to me.
12:59But you don't have to.
13:00We already know this.
13:01Look, here's the thing.
13:02Just with me aside, let's say you wanted to hire somebody and it wasn't me.
13:06Because there is a rumor of you going down the hallway and asking someone else if they would be interested.
13:11Is there a rumor?
13:12Oh, we got hot tea.
13:15What?
13:15Just got poured.
13:16Who coming on the free gym?
13:18That's what I'm saying.
13:19Who's joining our show that we don't know?
13:20Which hall?
13:21Well, I heard a certain guy named Druda that you thought would be a perfect fit.
13:28Oh, well.
13:30Now, before the hiring, to be honest, before the hiring freeze, I did think Druda's the best producer in the building.
13:38I'm not going to disagree with that.
13:39Because he's been a producer and he was a producer for sports.
13:42Yes.
13:42Sports producers chase interviews.
13:45They chase guests.
13:46I got it.
13:47You know, they go in.
13:48But he's also doing major things.
13:49So it's like he's got a family.
13:51He's got his education he's doing.
13:53And then the hiring freeze happened when COVID, they were like, yo, we ain't hiring.
13:57Right.
13:57You notice we don't even have a receptionist.
13:59Yeah, I know.
14:00At all.
14:00You have to call the number.
14:01You come up here, you got to call the phone.
14:04They back there doing rock, paper, scissors.
14:06Who's going to come up and give you your stuff?
14:08It's true.
14:09Ain't got no money around here.
14:11You crazy.
14:11Welcome to Tampa.
14:14This is how we do.
14:16Orlando and the freak show.
14:18All right.
14:18It's a wrap.
14:19That's Pleat the Fifth.
14:20Y'all have got way too much tea.
14:22This is way too inside school for a reason.
14:24All right.
14:25We're coming back with more.
14:26No more.
14:26No more.
