00:00Trying to help out Patrick this morning on the 7-15, second date update.
00:04Kevin, this sounds like a great time.
00:05They went and watched some sports.
00:07How is that a bad thing?
00:08There should only be good coming out of this date, right?
00:11But there isn't, and she's not getting back to Patrick.
00:15They hadn't met before.
00:16He saw a picture.
00:17They met through mutual friends.
00:19So he knew what she looked like going into the date.
00:21He said nothing bad happened.
00:23All the teams won.
00:24He wasn't like a go-crazy fan in the restaurant.
00:27So, yeah, I'm interested to see what this is about.
00:31Yeah.
00:31Well, we don't know what's going on.
00:33I thought we asked some good questions.
00:34We'll see if we can get some answers now from Ashley, who has seemed to have disappeared on Patrick.
00:55Hello?
00:56Hi, is this Ashley?
00:59Yeah.
00:59Hey, Ashley.
01:00Hope you're having a good morning so far.
01:02This is J.R., Lana, and Kevin over here at 995QIK.
01:05How are you doing?
01:06Good morning, Ashley.
01:08Hi.
01:08Good morning.
01:11Hey.
01:12I hope you're having a great morning, like I said.
01:14We wanted to see if we could talk to you for a couple minutes.
01:16Would that be all right to have you on the show?
01:18On your show?
01:19Yeah.
01:20We would be on the air, if that's okay.
01:23Right now?
01:24Yes.
01:24Okay, I guess.
01:27Okay.
01:28Well, we actually wanted to ask you about a date you recently went on.
01:31We heard about this guy that you got set up by a mutual friend, Patrick.
01:36He told us that you guys went out.
01:38You guys decided to have a little sports day where you guys went to glory days, watched some games.
01:44Yeah, I remember.
01:45Yeah.
01:46Okay.
01:46Well, that's always a plus when you remember.
01:48Yeah.
01:48Anyway, he said he picked you up and you guys went out and then he dropped you off.
01:52He was really hoping to see you again.
01:54I guess he's reached out a few times and he has heard absolutely nothing from you and is just super confused.
01:59Is there a reason for this?
02:01Yeah.
02:01No, he's not for me.
02:03This guy's not for me.
02:04He's just immature and very inappropriate.
02:09That's not somebody I would want to date.
02:11Can you expand on that a little bit?
02:13We kind of want to know why.
02:15Wait, inappropriate and immature, you said?
02:18Yeah.
02:19Yeah.
02:20I mean, honestly, from the second he picked me up, I was kind of like, I can't believe
02:26I'm going on this date.
02:27His entire car is full of stickers, political stickers.
02:33He has stickers on his car?
02:35Bumper stickers, that's the thing?
02:36Political stickers with obscenities.
02:39He's a diehard.
02:41Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
02:42Real quick, real quick.
02:43I'm sorry.
02:43I want to make sure I say this.
02:46Ashley, we do not want to get into sides on politics.
02:49The show is a mental break from the world, so I know we're calling you right now, and
02:54totally fine to talk about him having political stickers, but let's not get into names or who
02:59you guys support or anything like that, okay?
03:01Okay, okay.
03:03Well, his stickers had some obscenities about politicians that he doesn't like, and it was
03:10kind of nasty.
03:11It was way too much.
03:12It was way too much.
03:13And then we got to the restaurant, and his t-shirt had some nasty political statements
03:19with obscenities.
03:20And I mean, I understand people are passionate about their beliefs and their views.
03:26I completely understand.
03:27I'm not even saying that we're not on the same side, right?
03:30I'm not even saying that.
03:32But he's just like a walking billboard.
03:35It was just way too much.
03:36With the obscenities, it was inappropriate.
03:38I was very uncomfortable.
03:39People were looking at us.
03:41I felt uncomfortable.
03:43Like, I just don't need all that.
03:44So he was very proud to show off, basically, is what it is.
03:48He wasn't afraid.
03:50He wanted everybody to know.
03:51Yeah, it's almost kind of like he was looking for trouble.
03:54So I just don't like that.
03:55Do you know what I mean?
03:56Like, it's not...
03:57I don't know.
03:58I mean, listen, he's not the only one that's got stickers and shirts and stuff like that.
04:01I know somebody else like that, too.
04:02You're right.
04:03But I think the one thing that stands out to me is obscenities, because you never know who's
04:07in the restaurant if it's, like, a kid or something like that.
04:09Right.
04:10There was children in the place.
04:12Yes, exactly.
04:13Yeah, he doesn't understand the context of it, maybe.
04:15Well, listen, we actually have Patrick on the phone, Ashley.
04:18I don't want to bring it back on.
04:19Oh, gosh.
04:20Patrick?
04:21Hey, what's up?
04:23Hey, man.
04:23I want to hear your response to this.
04:26But again, like I just told Ashley, I don't want to go into who you support, who you don't
04:30support, and all that stuff.
04:31But it sounds like you're a pretty political guy, right?
04:34Yeah.
04:34Yeah, absolutely.
04:35It's very important, you know?
04:37Ashley, I can't believe this.
04:39This is the future of our country we're talking about here, you know?
04:43That's why I'm so passionate about it.
04:46I'm not saying that it's not important.
04:49I'm just saying the obscenities is way too much, and I just don't want to date somebody
04:55who's a billboard.
04:56I don't want everybody looking at us and staring at us like, I'm allowed to have an opinion,
05:00but I don't have to constantly broadcast it to everybody.
05:03Yeah, you know, I just don't want to live like that.
05:05The obscenities, they're supposed to, you know, have, you know, dialogue, so people
05:09start talking about these issues, you know?
05:11That's what it's for.
05:13We were at a place with children, and their parents were looking, and it was just inappropriate.
05:18It's not appropriate.
05:19Well, good, good.
05:20Their parents can explain to them what's going on here, because they're the future of our
05:23country.
05:23They need to know, too.
05:24You know what I'm saying?
05:25Patrick, don't you know, though, that on a first date, like, you don't talk about certain
05:29things, and politics is, like, the main one.
05:33You don't talk about exes.
05:34You don't talk about politics.
05:36Well, it's very important to me.
05:38It's, like, the most important thing to me.
05:40What exactly is it that you think you're changing?
05:43You think that people walk in and, like, oh, my gosh, this guy's changing the world right
05:47now.
05:47He's so smart.
05:48You know, at least I'm doing something.
05:50You're not making a difference.
05:51You're not walking around with my head in the clouds, like, pretending like everything's
05:55okay.
05:55I'll tell you that much.
05:56I understand that you're passionate about your views and things like that, and I think
06:00that's great that you, you know, you care.
06:03But do you see, like, I want to go back to this, the obscenities on your shirt, maybe
06:07that are just, you know, some sling on there that might not be appropriate for a kid across
06:12a restaurant to see?
06:13Oh, kids, you know what?
06:15They play the video games and stuff.
06:17They see, they watch movies and TV shows.
06:19There's nothing shocking about, like, an obscenity on a shirt.
06:22I tell you what, these kids say worse.
06:23They're going to get exposed to it anyway, right, Patrick?
06:26I kind of disagree with that whole statement.
06:28Please.
06:28Come on, man.
06:30Well, I'm going to ask you this, Patrick.
06:31If you guys were to go out again, would you be willing to tone it down a little bit?
06:34No, no, no, no.
06:34No, you know what?
06:35Yeah, I'm not interested.
06:36It's not my type of person.
06:37This isn't important.
06:37I'm not, yeah.
06:39No, it's ridiculous.
06:40You know, she's just not the girl for me.
06:42Oh, well, here we go.
06:44All right.
06:44Okay, that is that.
06:44So we agree.
06:45So we absolutely agree.
06:46We finally agree on something, yeah.
06:48There you go.
06:49Yeah.
06:50I'm glad we've all come together here.
06:51We've agreed.
06:52All over a T-shirt and some bumper stickers, huh?
06:54Yeah, but if you're, I mean.
06:55Well, listen, guys.
06:56I appreciate you coming on with us.
06:59And Ashley, thank you for your time.
07:01Patrick, now you got your answer.
07:03You guys have a great day, okay?
07:05You too.
07:05You too.
