00:00Respect, Khalil Yahweh, the rager boy, he's here.
00:03Just chillin'.
00:04Oh, man, you're livin' nice, bruh.
00:07God damn.
00:08We're the Vons today.
00:09Hold on, you gotta put it back on the whip, bro.
00:11Don't be, you know what I'm saying?
00:12You gotta let them know what they look like out here.
00:15There's big vibes out here today.
00:19Legit, my dog.
00:20How's everything been, brother?
00:20How you been holding up during COVID?
00:24Oh, man, finishing this album.
00:25That's what this COVID thing's been doing for us.
00:28And working harder, soul-searching, and enjoying the time of us
00:35that we can relax and collect our brains, man.
00:38That's all we can do right now.
00:40And I'm hype, rager boy is done.
00:43I tweeted it out.
00:44Yes, sir.
00:46Stunned on you's a slapper along with the other joints, Tommy Lee.
00:49You fuckin' with it, Joey?
00:51You fuckin' with it, Joey?
00:52Bro, I heard that shit, and I'm like, bro, Yahweh got one, bro.
00:56I'm like, yo, Tyler got one, son.
00:58Like, that's a banger right there, bro.
01:01Thank you, bro.
01:02We've been sitting on that for a second, and it's like,
01:05we decided to put it together the right way.
01:08That's what's up.
01:08And what can we expect on this?
01:10I feel like we're gonna get different sounds on this Raging Boy album.
01:13You know what's crazy?
01:15I was listening to some music last night,
01:17just like vibing to all the music.
01:19And, like, it was honestly dope.
01:23It's like, it's a new sound, I think, for people's ears.
01:25It's fresh.
01:27And you know how Heartful of Rage, it was just, like, ecleptic,
01:30and just, like, it wasn't just one genre.
01:33So I feel like it's just the same thing, you know?
01:36Like, just me just exploring new things, doing new sounds people not gonna expect.
01:40That's just fire, you know?
01:42And, bro, a lot has changed since the last time we saw you.
01:45I mean, obviously, the times in general have changed all year.
01:49But, I mean, dude, I mean, you dropped Tommy Lee with Post.
01:53Then you go and do the remix with Tommy Lee in Top 5 just this week.
02:01Legendary.
02:02You on a whole other level right now.
02:05Man, it's blessings, man.
02:07And, you know, it's crazy.
02:08I still feel like I'm, when you first met me at that, at the, what was it?
02:13It was the Young Pinch show?
02:15Yeah.
02:16Damn, that was a wild rock band.
02:17Young Pinch show.
02:18Yeah.
02:19We did the Young Pinch tour.
02:20Like, it still feel like I'm grinding just like that, you know?
02:24Like, I never want to lose that feeling.
02:26And I know there's so many different, like, trophies that came my way and shit this year.
02:31I just never want to get distracted by it, man.
02:34Now, when you were doing this album, I mean, I know you guys were in Utah.
02:39You know, vibing out, riding out, four-wheelers and all that, just living life, busting guns in the forest.
02:46Drinking beer.
02:47You drinking beer, beer pong.
02:48First off, has your beer pong game gotten better since the last time we played?
02:53Definitely.
02:54Well, that wasn't a real beer pong.
02:55That was giant beer pong, yeah.
02:57No, that was like.
02:58Yeah, I used to hoof, so, you know, I was aight.
03:00The big joints, the big beer pong, I'm good.
03:06I'm nice.
03:07Yeah, a little beer pong, I got you all day.
03:09Man, we got to run that back on the official joint, though, not the oversized one.
03:15You know, I'm ready whenever.
03:16Just say when I'm there.
03:19So, during that whole getaway with you guys out there in Utah, did that help a lot with
03:25the album-making process?
03:26Were you recording out there?
03:29No, I wasn't recording.
03:30We were just like, we just got off tour and shit, so we were just chilling, you know, at
03:34that point, like just vibing and enjoying life for a second, you know, like, yo, we got
03:40to get away.
03:41We need to clear our brains.
03:43Then after that, just went back and went right back in the studio, you feel?
03:47And I was recording in my crib, too, at the time.
03:50The same with Post, he was recording in his crib, so it just, we went out there just to
03:54clear our minds and then ended up shooting the video.
03:57Yeah, that was a dope video, man.
03:58Like, I've always wanted to, like, check out Utah out of curiosity.
04:01I've been, like, on the outskirts of Salt Lake City.
04:04Never, like, got to embrace it.
04:06Like, what can you say about Utah that maybe not a lot of people know?
04:10It's just they appreciate their land, you know?
04:12They appreciate the life that they live, and, you know, it's like, it just, like, some
04:18people, we were, like, in, like, Morgan, Utah or something like that, and it was a small
04:23town of, like, a thousand people, two thousand people, and they had to drive super far just
04:29to get to, like, they have their regular stores near them, but if they need to go somewhere
04:33and crazy, they got to drive, like, two hours out.
04:36So it's just the luxury of, like, being in the city sometimes, it makes you, like, think,
04:42like, damn, we got it easy.
04:43Some people got to do a lot.
04:45They got to have their own land.
04:47They have to take care of their land.
04:49They got to do all that, you know?
04:50They live off their land, too, at that.
04:53That's real, man.
04:54I definitely got to take a trip out there, man.
04:55I've always been curious to explore Utah.
04:58It's beautiful.
04:59It's beautiful.
05:00Y'all having a good time out there.
05:02It's fresh air, for sure, too.
05:04That's fire.
05:05Yeah.
05:05Now, getting on Rage Your Boy, I saw that you posted something a couple days ago asking
05:10who y'all want to hear, asking the fans who they want to hear on Rage Your Boy.
05:12Is there anybody that you're excited, maybe, to let out the bag, that you can't let out
05:20the bag for our speeches or production?
05:23Well, it's a lot of people on here, but the next song I'm dropping, I kind of want to keep
05:29it a secret, because it's just going to be, like, it's just going to blow everybody's
05:33brains, you know, like, how the record is put together.
05:38Man, we got a lot of crazy stuff, like, even remixes with Tommy Lee.
05:43It's just, like, it's just, I don't want to spoil the bag right now.
05:47Yo, what was that like, being able to perform with Tommy Lee on the ESPN house?
05:53Bro, I felt like I was in a, like, old Motley Crue, like, concert for a second with the
05:58crowd, like, the stadium concerts.
06:01I was just picturing that.
06:03It was just, it was dope just to be able to, like, be friends with Tommy Lee and, like,
06:07conversate with him, call me, text.
06:09We just text each other back, call each other every morning and stuff, so it's cool.
06:14Super, man.
06:15It's legendary, bro.
06:17Is there anybody you're looking to rage out with besides Tommy Lee?
06:20I mean, John 5 was there with you guys, too, and he's a legendary guitarist, you know,
06:24working with Marilyn Manson.
06:25Marilyn Manson, I was about to say.
06:27Marilyn Manson will be fire.
06:28It's a lot of, like, I can't wait to actually do a song with Green Day, like, those are the
06:35homies and stuff, so, like, I can't wait to really, when our schedules, like, get back
06:40together and we can get in the studio.
06:43It's a lot of, it's a lot of people, like, Blink-182, I already did something, I did something
06:48with Travis Barker, that's the homie, too.
06:50Word.
06:51Yeah, like, Travis Barker's a homie.
06:53It's just a lot of legends I just want to work with, just keep, keep going down, you know?
06:57It's got to be good, man, and dope, not only for hip-hop, but just music in general, man,
07:02just to see, like, I mean, you go back to the old days where Run-D&C and Aerosmith was
07:07collabing, and you're kind of seeing it kind of come back to life, you know?
07:12Like, think about the Posty Travis and Ozzy Osbourne, like, that's the, that's, like, so
07:18crazy, you know?
07:20Who's doing that?
07:21And in our age, you know?
07:23Right.
07:23At our age, too.
07:24Like, we're young, we're only 25 years old.
07:26But, so, hanging out with the, like, someone in the interview said it the other day, they're
07:31like, yo, definitely, you guys are the new age rock stars in our generation that we don't
07:36have.
07:38Thanks.
07:40And it's got to be dope, man, to be able to bounce around genres like that, and, you
07:43know, you being versatile in that, in that manner, that, you know, do stuff with Tommy
07:49Lee, and then come back around and drop a single with the baby that, you know, can hit the
07:54club, like, it feel like you're just touching all cylinders on everything for this next
07:58time.
07:59Everything.
07:59Like, I just want, I want people to have fun, bro.
08:02I want people to be in their feelings.
08:03I want people to, I want people to go out and party with their friends.
08:07I want people to go rage.
08:09I want all that, you know?
08:10Like, I want every single emotions, and that's what Rage, Rager Boy, like, Rage, like, I have
08:17an acronym for it is Release All Good Energy, and it's just, like, just always releasing
08:22it, like, Rager Boy.
08:23I'm just a Rager Boy.
08:25I like that, man.
08:26It's always a good time whenever we get together.
08:28And now, it's funny, because I was just talking to Ty Dolla $ign the other day, and I asked
08:33him this question, because I thought it was really interesting, especially for guys of, like,
08:36you know, that stature that, you know, really be, you know, in tune with music and always
08:41creating new sounds.
08:43How have you managed to stay creative during this whole pandemic, bro?
08:47I think with everything going around, like, with the narrative of life, like, what we see,
08:54it just inspired to, it inspired me to bring hope and more, like, and positive energy to
09:01the world and more fresh energy, you know?
09:04So, it's, like, a lot of people are hurting, and we're going through all this, all that,
09:08like, from the Black Lives Matter movement, from just coronavirus, people losing their families
09:14can't, like, Lebanon, like, all this crazy stuff that's happening.
09:18It's just, like, we got to take that energy and put it in the music to actually make sure
09:23we guide the people the right way, you know?
09:26So, that's, like, that's the energy I feel, and that I didn't let none of this, like, stop
09:33me from being a blessed human and let, like, or just spreading love and positive energy
09:39to the next person, because it's just, it's just another moment that happened thousands
09:45and thousands of years ago over and over again, and it's just our time to witness it,
09:49you know?
09:51It's wild how this thing's going to be in, like, history books, dog.
09:53We're literally living in the history books right now as this is going on.
09:56And it's honestly cool, you know?
09:58Like, I was out there in the protest, too, like, and I was in Orlando protesting.
10:03Oh, word.
10:04And, yeah, I went back to the hometown, and it was just dope, like, to just, like, understand,
10:12like, see all these people together for once and, like, put up, like, just put up this energy
10:18that's just not, like, we don't want to take no more.
10:21There's no means no, you feel?
10:24Definitely, man, and we're still keeping that movement alive, bro, and, you know, nobody's
10:28really, you know, staying silent about it, which is good, and hopefully everybody goes
10:32out and votes.
10:34Yeah, for sure.
10:35So, man, so what else have you been up to besides music?
10:40I know you guys were kicking it, you know, after tour.
10:42Is there anything else you up to, like, during, you know, these times?
10:46Well, just, like, more, like, I'm just getting on the creative side of the business side
10:50of this, like, life now, like, we're creating our own brands and some cool brands, more
10:55collabs, working with a lot of dope companies right now, too, like, it's just cool, and
11:01then I'm shooting, I'm doing a little thing with Beats, Beats by Dre, we're doing the
11:06Rager Boy TV, and that, it's been so fun shooting that, like, and we just dropped that, we actually
11:12just dropped something today on there, and it's just going to be dope, I want to bring
11:16it to another level.
11:18So, that's what it's all about, man, that content, boy, content is key.
11:23Content is key, and we cannot stop, man, can't stop, and it's just constantly connecting,
11:29and it's just cool, man, that I finally stepped my foot in this industry, and I'm about to
11:35make a mark in it, like, I'm about to stop it.
11:37And I love that you're doing this, and then you're putting on for Orlando, bro, and Florida.
11:42Every day, man.
11:43Yeah, so, you tweeted that out, like, I'm just trying to put Orlando on, and you're doing
11:48it, man, so salute to you, respect.
11:50Oh, every single day, and it's just like, I go back, and I go back still, like, I don't
11:55really tell too many people, I'll go back for a few days and come back, but every time I
11:59go there, it's just a new energy of hope, like, for the place, like, more artists are
12:04feeling, like, inspired that the shit can happen for them, too.
12:08So, I'm seeing a lot of Florida artists actually working their asses off and becoming known,
12:14you know, especially Orlando artists, too.
12:16So, it's like, it's cool, like, to see an Orlando artist, a pootie, like, he's popping
12:21on TikTok, and he's able to hit the billboards, like, like, Glock 9, Hot Boy, like, all the,
12:28they're, like, really coming up.
12:30Mo, Mo is better, he was, his shit was popping on TikTok, too, like.
12:35It's just cool to see that.
12:36It's a good time for Central Florida right now, I feel like they're catching a wave right
12:40now, like, even if it's like that out here in Tampa, as well, there's quite a few guys.
12:44Oh, it's a lot.
12:46They're really moving, so, you know, I'm really happy to see the music scene out here, you
12:49know, making a wave right now.
12:52It's a wave, it's coming back, and it's like, people are coming together, and free YM, free
12:58my dog Melvin, Melly.
13:00Yes, sir, Melly.
13:01We should be coming out soon, and free Kodak.
13:04Free Kodak, for sure.
13:06You got a free Kodak.
13:07Yeah.
13:08What can we expect Rager Boy, bro?
13:10When's the, when, you looking at a release date?
13:12No, no release date yet, but we just, like, we're just getting everything situated, you
13:17know, we're planning everything right.
13:19Still mixing, and we just, it's done, though.
13:23Like, I got, the records are there.
13:25It's on the board.
13:26That's what's up.
13:27I can't wait to hear it, brother.
13:28Tyler, man, appreciate you taking the time out, my G. Enjoy that good smoke.
13:33Hopefully we can burn one when you come back down this way.
13:35Yes, sir.
13:36We're going to burn one soon.
13:38Bet that, my G.
13:38Hey, I'll be in touch with you.
13:40I got your number and all that, so I'll text you.
13:42Yeah, FaceTime me, bro.
13:44I will.
13:45I got you.
13:45All right, bro.
13:46All right, fam.
13:47All right, Tim.
