A 28-year-old factory worker was sentenced to three months in prison by the Magistrate’s Court in Ayer Keroh for molesting a female jogger.
Magistrate Sharda Shienha Mohd Sulaiman handed down the sentence to Muhammad Ridzuan Yusof after he pleaded guilty to the charge read to him by a court interpreter on Wednesday (April 16).

00:55or any combination of these punishments upon conviction. Earlier, the accused's lawyer,
01:01Mohamed Izzuddin Abmalik from the Legal Aid Foundation, appealed for a lighter sentence on
01:07grounds that his client is a person with disabilities who earns a monthly salary of 1,500 ringgit
01:13and has repented for his actions. However, Deputy Public Prosecutor Wardah Ishar urged the court to
01:21impose a heavier sentence, taking into account the seriousness of the offence.
