Au XIIe siècle, Gallain et son protégé Jacob, deux croisés, participent à l'attaque d'une citadelle musulmane. Face à l'atrocité des combats, ils décident de renier leur engagement. Trois ans plus tard, Jacob est contacté par les jeunes héritiers d'un empereur chinois : celui-ci a été tué par son oncle, qui entend ravir le trône. Jacob accepte de mettre son sabre à leur service. Il va trouver Gallain, devenu bandit, et lui demande de l'aider dans son entreprise. Tous deux décident de reprendre les armes...

00:16And I was very impressed with Hayden's sort of edgy, dangerous, dark and still soulful performance.
00:26I thought it was superb.
00:27And so I really connected with him.
00:30Plus he has a look in his eyes that I respond to because it almost feels like a familial.
00:37He's got that sad thing going on that I've always been accused of having in my eyes.
00:41So I thought we would be a good match on camera together as well.
00:45Plus it just seemed like a good fit.
00:48And I'm happy to say it worked out.
00:50He's also a lovely man.
