00:01Thousands of Malaysians gathered at the National Mosque today to pay their final respects to Malaysia's 5th Prime Minister, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, reflecting the deep respect many felt for his leadership.

00:13The remains of the late Abdullah were laid to rest in the warrior's mausoleum at 2.30pm.

00:20Abdullah, the 5th Prime Minister, was buried after a state funeral attended by his family and government officials.

00:28Alongside the late Abdullah's widow, Jean Abdullah, were his children, Kamaluddin and Nori, as well as Nori's husband, Kairi Jamaluddin.

00:37Also present were Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Deputy Prime Ministers Ahmad Zahid Hamedi and Fadila Yusof, and other national leaders.
