00:00Kamaluddin Abdullah, the son of former Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, has denied

00:07telling Dr Mahathir Mohamad's son that it was their turn to steal money or enrich themselves

00:13using their father's political positions.

00:16In an Instagram post last night, Kamaluddin categorically denied the claim and said Mahathir

00:21was obviously very upset and very angry with many things and many people.

00:27Kamaluddin wrote that the best he could do is to pray for Mahathir's well-being and

00:31hope that he finds peace with himself in his twilight years.

00:35On Friday, Mahathir was reported claiming he had learned from his son of the conversation

00:40with Kamaluddin.

00:41And they believe that during the time when I was Prime Minister, I was abusing power.

00:49I was corrupt.

00:51The son of Abdullah told my son that it was your turn before, now it is our turn.

01:00Our turn for what?

01:02To steal money.

01:03I got shocked.

01:05Mahathir also accused his successors of viewing the power of the Prime Minister as a means

01:10to enrich themselves instead of focusing on leading and building the country.
