00:00I want to announce that my next programme for government will be published on Tuesday the 6th
00:05of May at an earlier stage than normal in the parliamentary calendar, a date that will enable
00:11a full year of delivery between now and the Scottish election on the 7th of May 2026.
00:18Second, I want to set out some actions the government will be taking in partnership with
00:23key stakeholders as we prepare Scotland for the undoubted economic challenges that we face,
00:28given the nature of the fast-moving events of recent weeks. I know that this is a time of great
00:34uncertainty for people, that many families and businesses are worried about what global events
00:39will mean for them. We face yet another storm after almost two decades of knocks and challenges.
00:47I know people are tired and anxious, desperate for light at the end of the tunnel, and that's why
00:53I want us to be prepared rather than simply scared. Advice and activity in the face of this latest
01:02challenge rather than just anxious.
