💥 KEY DEVELOPMENTS:
✅ US-Iran Talks – Will diplomacy prevail, or is this another prelude to conflict?
✅ Trump’s Russia Sanctions Extended – Economic warfare continues, but is it backfiring?
✅ Tech Tariff Exemptions for China – Hypocrisy or strategy? US tech giants get a pass while trade war rages.
✅ Russian Golf Carts – A bizarre but symbolic twist in sanctions evasion and global trade chaos.

00:00Succeeded in is igniting tension and remilitarizing Europe, including Germany, in spite of the
00:12fact that the economic and social situation is degrading, but all efforts of this Euro-Atlantic
00:22community are concentrated on getting ready for a new war.
00:28And Germany, together with France and Britain, are in the lead of this.
00:34This is my video update on this Sunday afternoon, April the 13th.
00:44Coming to you from Limassol, Cyprus, let's talk about some news.
00:55And let's start things off with the U.S.-Iran talks that took place yesterday in Oman.
01:10And the result of those talks was positive.
01:16Things went well, according to both sides, according to Iran and according to the United States.
01:25The talks lasted for two and a half hours.
01:31They were indirect talks, but the foreign minister of Iran and Whitcoff actually did meet and talk
01:44to each other face-to-face.
02:00And I'm going to read some statements, mostly from Iran, but the United States is also saying
02:14that things went well.
02:17Notice how it's Whitcoff that is negotiating and not Rubio.
02:31So, there are reports which claim that Rubio was supposed to be at this negotiation, but Iran said,
02:47don't bother, don't bother sending Rubio.
02:50We'll just stick with Whitcoff.
02:52So, let me read you some of what went down yesterday.
03:04Iran and U.S. unveiled results of nuclear talks.
03:08Both sides described the negotiations in Oman as constructive and have reportedly agreed to meet again for real talks.
03:19Let me pull up the article here.
03:22So, Trump wants to make sure that Iran doesn't get a nuclear weapon,
03:29and Iran is looking for sanctions relief, some sanctions relief.
03:35The two and a half hour talks were led by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyid Abbas Arachi
03:41and White House Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Whitcoff.
03:45Although the negotiations were conducted indirectly through Omani mediation,
03:51the heads of the two delegations, Arachi and Whitcoff briefly spoke face-to-face
03:57in the presence of Oman's Foreign Minister, Badr al-Busadi.
04:02After the formal talks concluded, addressing reporters in Muscat,
04:06Arachi described the first round of negotiations as constructive
04:11and held in a very calm and respectful atmosphere.
04:17No inappropriate language was used,
04:20and the two sides demonstrated their commitment to advancing the talks
04:23until the achievement of a mutually favorable agreement from an equal position,
04:30the Iranian minister said.
04:33According to Arachi, both sides aim to outline a general framework
04:37for a future agreement in the next round of talks.
04:40He indicated that the second meeting is scheduled for April 19th,
04:43although it may not take place in Muscat.
04:46Trump was on Air Force One, and he was asked about the talks with Iran,
04:57and he said that things are going okay.
04:59He said, nothing matters until you get it done,
05:02so I don't like talking about it, but it's going okay.
05:05The Iran situation is going pretty good.
05:10Positive news.
05:11They're going to continue to talk.
05:15We're going to probably get to direct talks.
05:19So we have the indirect talks.
05:20They're going to work towards direct talks.
05:23Eventually, they'll get into some sort of negotiation process.
05:29It's going to take some time, but we're off to a good start.
05:35That's how it looks.
05:36So that's the news out of Oman.
05:46And how about the U.S.-Russia talks,
05:54also with Whitcoff?
06:00The U.S.-Russia talks,
06:03Trump on Air Force One,
06:05was asked about what is going on
06:08with Russia.
06:12What's down that way?
06:15With Russia and Ukraine?
06:19And Trump said,
06:20I think that Ukraine and Russia
06:21will probably be fine.
06:25Trump commented on the negotiations
06:27to resolve the conflict in Ukraine
06:28and said that everything is going well.
06:30The U.S. president also added
06:31that there comes a point
06:33where you either put up or shut up.
06:40Interesting comment from Trump there.
06:43You either put up or shut up.
06:48But things are going fine.
06:49Things are going fine.
06:51Things are going really well,
06:52but you either put up or shut up.
06:54Trump is taking a little bit of Whitcoff.
06:56He's taking a little bit of Kellogg and Rubio,
07:00and he's playing it right down the middle.
07:05Right down the middle.
07:06That is where Trump is playing it.
07:08He has not been able to make up his mind.
07:11Do I end the conflict in Ukraine
07:13and take Whitcoff's advice
07:17and go with Istanbul Plus June 2024 terms
07:23and just end this conflict?
07:26We can walk away from this
07:28and start doing business with Russia,
07:31or do I take the Kellogg option,
07:33the Kellogg plan,
07:35Walt, Rubio, Kellogg,
07:36and push for some sort of unconditional ceasefire,
07:43which Russia will never accept,
07:45and the conflict continues.
07:52Which one do I take?
07:55That is Trump's dilemma.
07:58He will go right down the middle.
08:00He'll take a little of Whitcoff.
08:02He'll take a little of Kellogg
08:04and Walt and Rubio,
08:06and he'll come up with something
08:09that is neither a solution
08:12nor a full escalation.
08:18Look at the snail.
08:28There's so many.
08:29There's so many.
08:34Look at all the snails.
08:59Run, snail, run.
09:01Come on.
09:02Get a move on.
09:03You're all over.
09:13You're all over.
09:14You're all over.
09:30Okay.
09:30What else are we going to say about
09:34Russia and Ukraine?
09:41So, Levitt,
09:43she was speaking to reporters,
09:45and she said that Trump is frustrated
09:47with war talks,
09:50disillusioned by both Russia and Ukraine.
09:54U.S. President Donald Trump
09:55is disappointed with both
09:56Russia and Ukraine
09:58in the negotiations to end the war.
09:59At the same time,
10:00the U.S. believes it has leverage
10:02in the talks,
10:03according to White House spokeswoman
10:04Carolyn Levitt.
10:05During a briefing,
10:06I think the president
10:07has made it quite clear
10:08that he is constantly frustrated
10:10with both sides of this conflict,
10:13and he wants these hostilities to end.
10:15He wants the war to end,
10:16Levitt said.
10:17According to her,
10:17the Trump administration believes
10:18that we have leverage
10:20in negotiating a peace agreement.
10:22the spokeswoman emphasized
10:24that the U.S. intends to use
10:26this leverage.
10:29The U.S. has leverage.
10:32Over Ukraine, yes.
10:34Over Russia, no.
10:36So, Trump is frustrated.
10:49He is frustrated.
10:50Trump is frustrated.
10:53Everyone is frustrated
10:54with Trump
10:56because he's not able
10:58to take a decision
10:59on Project Ukraine.
11:01He's not able
11:02to make the right decision
11:03on Project Ukraine.
11:06Oh, that guy's big.
11:08That guy is big.
11:15But it's Trump
11:16that's frustrated.
11:18He's frustrated.
11:22Oh, boy.
11:28It's a good marketing tactic
11:30that Trump is employing,
11:32trying to employ.
11:34That of the mediator.
11:36We're frustrated by,
11:37we're frustrated with both sides.
11:40We're not,
11:41we're not a party
11:41to this conflict.
11:42We're just frustrated
11:43with both sides.
11:45You're part of the conflict, man.
11:47You are one of the sides.
11:49You, United States,
11:51you are one of the sides.
11:54Oh, man.
11:55Ukraine is extending
12:05the martial law
12:06for another,
12:08I believe,
12:09another 90 days.
12:10the parliament's going
12:13to approve it.
12:18In a couple of days,
12:20they're going to approve it,
12:21I believe,
12:21the 15th or the 16th.
12:23So that would mean that
12:25Alensky is going to remain
12:29as the illegitimate
12:31president of Ukraine.
12:33According to Russia,
12:35he is the illegitimate
12:36president of Ukraine.
12:38He will remain
12:39until the summer
12:41around,
12:43I believe,
12:45around August.
12:47And if there were
12:49to be elections,
12:49then you would need
12:50another,
12:51according to the Ukrainian
12:52constitution,
12:52another 60 to 90 days
12:54until you actually
12:55hold elections.
12:56So at a minimum,
13:00Alensky is going
13:01to remain
13:01as the
13:02the presidente,
13:05the dictator,
13:07as Trump called him.
13:08Trump called him
13:09the dictator.
13:09Not me,
13:10Trump.
13:10He's going to remain
13:11as dictator
13:12of Ukraine
13:13until,
13:14at a minimum,
13:15November.
13:16That will be the earliest
13:17that Ukraine could
13:19hold constitutional elections
13:22once this martial law
13:24is approved
13:24by
13:25the parliament.
13:36Novikov.
13:39Novikov
13:40Mediterranean
13:41restaurants.
13:42I know that
13:44that brand.
13:46I know Novikov.
13:48Very popular
13:49restaurant
13:50group.
13:51they're here
13:55in Limassol,
13:56Novikov.
13:59So an F-16
14:01was shot down
14:03yesterday.
14:06And the BBC,
14:08I believe I read
14:09the BBC,
14:11reported that
14:12Russia shot down
14:14the F-16.
14:15the F-16.
14:15The pilot
14:16did not survive.
14:19This is the second
14:20Ukraine
14:22F-16
14:24that has been
14:26taken down.
14:29The Alensky regime,
14:32when this news
14:35was first announced,
14:36they made it seem
14:37as if
14:38it was friendly fire
14:39or some sort
14:40of accident
14:40that took down
14:42the F-16
14:43and led to
14:44the pilot's
14:44death,
14:45but the BBC
14:46and other
14:47outlets
14:47are reporting
14:50that it was
14:52Russia
14:52that shot
14:54down this
14:54F-16.
14:57So that
14:57happened
14:58yesterday.
14:59and
15:01talking
15:04about
15:04extensions
15:05martial law
15:09extended in
15:10Ukraine,
15:11the Trump
15:12administration
15:14is also
15:14extending
15:15sanctions
15:16on Russia,
15:19U.S.
15:19sanctions
15:19against Russia
15:20for
15:22another
15:2412
15:25months.
15:27So
15:28what
15:28does
15:29this
15:30mean?
15:31What
15:32does
15:32this
15:32mean?
15:33It
15:33means
15:34that
15:34there
15:36will
15:36be
15:36no
15:37sanctions
15:39relief
15:39coming
15:39for
15:40Russia,
15:42no U.S.
15:43sanctions
15:43relief
15:43for Russia
15:44in the
15:45next
15:45year.
15:48Expected,
15:49absolutely
15:49expected
15:50that the
15:51sanctions
15:52would get
15:52renewed
15:52for another
15:53year,
15:54but perhaps
15:55also a
15:56signal
15:56that the
15:58Trump
15:58administration
15:59is
16:00starting to
16:03understand
16:03that any
16:04type of
16:05a negotiation
16:07with Project
16:08Ukraine is
16:09not going to
16:09happen in
16:09a day,
16:10it's not
16:10going to
16:10happen in
16:11three months
16:13by Easter.
16:14Remember the
16:14reports that
16:15were saying
16:16that Trump
16:19was looking
16:19to get a
16:20peace deal
16:20by Easter?
16:22Easter is
16:23is in
16:24a week.
16:25The
16:26Strana
16:26leak
16:29which
16:30reported
16:31that
16:31Trump
16:31was
16:33looking
16:33at an
16:34April
16:3420th
16:35announcement
16:37of peace
16:38in Ukraine.
16:39That's not
16:40happening.
16:41So we
16:42have the
16:42sanctions
16:43renewed
16:43for
16:45another
16:46year.
16:46I'm
16:50certain
16:50that
16:51the
16:52Trump
16:52administration
16:53and many
16:53neocons
16:54in the
16:54Trump
16:54administration
16:54view this
16:55as a
16:56way to
16:57exert
16:57leverage
16:57over
16:58Russia.
17:00But for
17:01Russia,
17:02sanctions
17:03being renewed
17:04is pretty
17:05pretty much
17:06meaningless at
17:07this point
17:07because the
17:08Russian
17:08economy
17:09continues
17:10to grow
17:11with all
17:11of the
17:12sanctions
17:12in place.
17:15What did
17:16Russia do?
17:18What did
17:19Russia do
17:19to the
17:20United States?
17:21Well,
17:21according
17:22to the
17:23sanctions
17:25announcement,
17:27Russia
17:28is
17:29a national
17:31security
17:33threat.
17:34That's
17:35right.
17:35It poses
17:35a serious
17:36threat to
17:37the United
17:38States'
17:38national
17:39security.
17:41among the
17:42harmful
17:42activities
17:43ascribed to
17:45Russia in
17:46the document
17:46are efforts
17:47to undermine
17:47the conduct
17:48of free
17:49and fair
17:50democratic
17:50elections and
17:52democratic
17:52institutions in
17:53the United
17:53States and
17:54its allies
17:55and partners.
17:57Some of
17:57Moscow's
17:58other alleged
17:59transgressions
17:59are attempts
18:00to undermine
18:00security in
18:02countries and
18:02regions important
18:03to United
18:04States national
18:05security and
18:05to violate
18:06well-established
18:07principles of
18:08international law,
18:09including respect
18:10for the
18:11territorial
18:11integrity of
18:12states.
18:13That's right.
18:14Russia does not
18:14respect the
18:15territorial
18:16integrity of
18:18states,
18:19has violated
18:21the principles
18:22of international
18:23law,
18:25and
18:25undermined
18:28the
18:29security in
18:31countries
18:32that are
18:34important to
18:35the U.S.,
18:37that country
18:37being Ukraine.
18:39Ukraine is
18:40of vital
18:41importance to
18:43the U.S.,
18:44and Russia
18:44has violated
18:46this, so
18:47the sanctions
18:48remain.
18:52We did get
18:53some tariff
18:55exemptions
18:56from Trump,
18:59tariff
19:00exemptions.
19:00It was
19:02raining a
19:03lot this
19:04morning, by
19:05the way.
19:06Some tariff
19:06exemptions
19:07for China.
19:12Tariff
19:13exemptions
19:14in
19:15electronics,
19:18mobile
19:18devices,
19:19laptops,
19:21these types
19:22of things.
19:23basically
19:2623%
19:29of what
19:30China
19:31exports to
19:32the United
19:32States
19:33will now
19:34be exempt
19:35from
19:36tariffs.
19:39That was
19:41announced
19:41yesterday.
19:43Trump
19:43exempts
19:44computers,
19:45handsets,
19:46chips from
19:47reciprocal
19:48tariff
19:49blitz,
19:50still subject
19:51to the
19:51original 20%.
19:52So that
19:54is true.
19:55The
19:56electronics
19:57are still
19:57subject to
19:58the 20%,
19:58but the
19:59other
20:00134%,
20:05it was a
20:05total of
20:06what,
20:06154%
20:07tariffs
20:08that the
20:09U.S.
20:12put on
20:12China,
20:13reciprocal
20:13tariffs,
20:14so all
20:15of the
20:17tariffs
20:18above the
20:1820%,
20:19134%,
20:20that's all
20:22wiped away
20:22for
20:23electronics.
20:24That's
20:24all been
20:25exempt.
20:25So now
20:26you only
20:26have the
20:2720%.
20:28So the
20:29tech
20:30bros and
20:30the tech
20:31oligarchs
20:31are going
20:33to be
20:33very happy
20:34about this
20:35news.
20:36They already
20:37are very
20:38happy about
20:39this news.
20:40I imagine
20:40on Monday
20:41the markets
20:43will reflect
20:45the tech
20:47bros and
20:48the tech
20:49oligarchs
20:49happiness.
20:52The crypto
20:53and Bitcoin
20:55was already
20:56going up,
20:58is already
20:58going up
20:59this weekend
20:59from this
21:01exemption
21:01announcement
21:03from the
21:04real fly.
21:05This is an
21:06olive branch
21:07to China
21:08deal
21:09looms.
21:10Yeah, I
21:13agree with
21:13that assessment.
21:15This is
21:16without a
21:16doubt an
21:17olive branch
21:18towards China.
21:21The problem
21:22is that
21:23Trump
21:24can't contact
21:26China so
21:27that they
21:27can enter
21:28into some
21:28sort of
21:28bilateral
21:29negotiation.
21:30he can't
21:32contact
21:33China directly.
21:35China is
21:35not going
21:36to contact
21:36the United
21:37States.
21:38That's for
21:39sure.
21:40And so
21:40what you're
21:41left with
21:41is the
21:46United States
21:46wanting
21:47to enter
21:51into some
21:51sort of
21:52a talk
21:54with China
21:55but they
21:58can't figure
21:59out a way
21:59to set
22:04up
22:04the talk
22:06with China.
22:09So what
22:09they're going
22:10to have to
22:10do is
22:10they're going
22:11to have
22:11to find
22:13a third
22:13party
22:14to put
22:16some sort
22:16of a
22:17talk
22:18together,
22:19set up
22:19some sort
22:20of a
22:21communication
22:21which over
22:23time,
22:24over the
22:24next couple
22:24of weeks
22:25or the
22:25next couple
22:26of months
22:26can lead
22:28to some
22:28sort of
22:29bilateral
22:29negotiation
22:31process which
22:32will also
22:32take time
22:33which will
22:34eventually
22:35lead to
22:35some sort
22:36of a
22:38trade deal
22:39and the
22:40outcome will
22:41be some
22:41sort of
22:42a managed
22:44divorce
22:46between China
22:47and the United
22:48States.
22:48That would be
22:48my guess as
22:49to how all
22:50of this
22:50is going
22:51to unfold.
22:51Of course,
22:53the other
22:55scenario is
22:56that the
22:57U.S.
22:58does not
22:58manage to
22:59find a way
22:59to speak
23:00with China.
23:01China does
23:01not find
23:02a way to
23:03speak with
23:04the United
23:05States
23:05and everything
23:07continues to
23:09unravel.
23:11That is
23:12the worst
23:13outcome,
23:15but also
23:16very possible.
23:22So we will
23:23see where
23:26all of this
23:26ends up.
23:28Monday will
23:29be an
23:29interesting day.
23:30we'll see
23:32how the
23:32markets react
23:33to all
23:34of this
23:34news.
23:37We'll
23:37continue to
23:38look at
23:39the bonds,
23:41the bond
23:42yields.
23:44That seems
23:45to be driving
23:46a lot of
23:46this.
23:50And
23:50let's talk
23:52about
23:52Europe
23:55a bit
23:56and then
23:56we'll get
23:57into a
23:57clown world.
23:58Spain is
24:00making a
24:00lot of
24:01news
24:01these days.
24:04Spain is
24:05talking about
24:06using the
24:08Russian
24:09frozen
24:10assets
24:10in
24:12Brussels
24:13so that
24:15Europe
24:16can fund
24:16its
24:17MIC,
24:18its
24:18military
24:19industrial
24:20complex.
24:22Basically
24:22what Spain
24:23is proposing
24:23is that
24:25Europe
24:26takes
24:27the
24:27250
24:29billion
24:29or
24:29whatever
24:30the
24:30amount
24:30is
24:30and
24:31they
24:31spend
24:32it
24:32on
24:33weapons.
24:35European
24:35weapons.
24:38Spain is
24:39saying that
24:39these weapons
24:39can be used
24:40to help
24:42arm
24:43Ukraine as
24:45they continue
24:45to fight
24:46Russia.
24:46But we all
24:47know that's
24:48not true.
24:49That is not
24:50true.
24:50what the
24:55military
24:56industrial
24:56complex
24:57is doing
25:00is in
25:00Europe
25:01is they're
25:01saying
25:01look
25:02you may
25:05not have
25:06the
25:06800
25:07billion,
25:07all of
25:08the 800
25:08billion to
25:09give to
25:09us in
25:10your
25:11gigantic
25:12defense
25:13fund
25:14or it's
25:16looking very
25:17difficult
25:17to find
25:19the 800
25:19billion.
25:20So we've
25:21got this
25:21250 or
25:23300 billion
25:24sitting in
25:25Brussels.
25:26Why not
25:27just give
25:28us that
25:28money?
25:29That's what the
25:30military
25:31industrial complex
25:32is telling
25:33Spanish
25:34officials.
25:34That's what
25:35they're going
25:35to tell
25:35European
25:35officials.
25:37And they
25:38may just
25:38get their
25:39way.
25:39We are
25:40talking about
25:41the
25:42MIC.
25:43The MIC
25:44always gets
25:45their way.
25:46They always
25:46win.
25:49So that's
25:50the news
25:50coming out
25:51of Spain.
25:54I don't
25:54think that's
25:55a surprise
25:55that this
25:57money may
25:57end up
25:58they may
25:59end up
26:00stealing
26:00this money
26:01and it
26:01may end
26:02up in
26:03the hands
26:03of the
26:03MIC.
26:05No
26:05surprise
26:06there.
26:11someone
26:13I guess
26:15someone
26:16left their
26:16their
26:17flip-flops
26:17they left
26:19their flip-flops
26:20there made
26:21sure they
26:22they put
26:22the rocks
26:23so that
26:25they don't
26:25blow away.
26:27Maybe they
26:27left them
26:28there last
26:28night and
26:30now they're
26:30going to
26:30come back
26:31to pick
26:31them up
26:31this Sunday.
26:36All right
26:36let's do
26:37let's do
26:37a clown
26:38world and
26:39we can
26:39wrap
26:40this video
26:41up.
26:46So we've
26:47talked a lot
26:47about
26:48Russia
26:52running out
26:52of weapons
26:53over the
26:55last three
26:56years in
26:56this conflict
26:57in Ukraine.
26:59They've had
26:59to remove
27:01chips from
27:02washing
27:02machines.
27:04They've had
27:05to use
27:06shovels
27:06and now
27:08according to
27:09the
27:10express
27:11UK
27:11Russia is
27:14now
27:14advancing
27:15or trying
27:15to advance
27:16with
27:18golf carts.
27:19They've
27:20run out
27:20of vehicles
27:21and tanks
27:22and all
27:22of these
27:23things so
27:24now they're
27:24using golf
27:25carts to
27:26advance on
27:27the front
27:28line according
27:28to the
27:30UK
27:30express
27:31humiliation
27:32for Vladimir
27:33Putin as
27:34desperate Russian
27:35soldiers advance
27:36in golf
27:37carts.
27:38the Russian
27:38army is
27:39said to
27:39be
27:39suffering
27:40difficulties
27:40and
27:41resorting
27:42to strange
27:42methods.
27:44This article
27:45was posted
27:46on April
27:479th,
27:482025.
27:49So where
27:52is the
27:52Express UK
27:53getting this
27:54information about
27:55the Russian
27:56military using
27:58golf carts?
28:00How about
28:01from the
28:01Institute for
28:02the Study
28:03of War?
28:05The ISW
28:06additional
28:07geo-located
28:08footage published
28:09on April
28:097th shows
28:11that Ukrainian
28:11forces repelled
28:12another company-sized
28:14Russian mechanized
28:15assault near
28:16Sribne southwest
28:17of
28:18Pokrovsk on
28:19April 6th and
28:20damaged three
28:21armored vehicles
28:21and five
28:22tanks during
28:22the assault.
28:23The commander
28:24of a
28:25Ukrainian
28:26brigade
28:27operating in
28:27the Pokrovsk
28:28direction
28:29stated on
28:30April 8th
28:31that Russian
28:32forces have
28:33recently begun
28:34using more
28:35armored vehicles
28:35in the area
28:36but have
28:37also resorted
28:38to using
28:40motorcycles
28:40and golf
28:42carts
28:43to make
28:43advances.
28:45Okay, so
28:46the implication
28:47is that they're
28:48not running
28:48out of
28:49vehicles.
28:51I guess they're
28:52running out of
28:53tanks.
28:53Is that what
28:54the Institute
28:55of the Study
28:55of War
28:56is implying
28:57here?
29:00They are using
29:01more armored
29:02vehicles in
29:03the area
29:03but they
29:05are now
29:06using
29:06motorcycles
29:07and golf
29:08carts.
29:10shovels,
29:14chips,
29:15and golf
29:16carts.
29:20That's the
29:20video.
